“The two week chance”?Ah, so you decided to take the 2 week chance. Are they holding the car or releasing it to someone else?

Typically not important unless you’re ordering near the end of a model year and concerned about car value. Tesla implements improvements on a rolling basis but the assumption is that they’ll introduce ambient lighting and front camera for the 2024 model.Does the model year on VIN really matter? Changes with Tesla happen whenever they happen.
Agree. Unless you're selling the car in 2 years, it really doesn't matter. The condition of the car, features, and miles matter more. The difference will probably become less and less as the years pass though. Even if you look now, the only drastic price differences are where there are actual significant changes to the car.
Agree. An identical 2023 and 2024 car makes little difference. A 2024 (or 2023) with new features matters more.I did the one time hold. They don’t tell you but the VIN is no longer associated with the account now. So I assume they look for the next person in line in SoCal and tell them they have a car ready for them. I guess I will find out in two weeks. Worst case scenario I get the same car but got two more weeks without a car payment. Best case, it changes to a 2024 for resale purposes. Best best case is it is ‘24 with ambient lighting and a front bumper camera lol but not banking on that.
I’m never going to sell the car I have on order, just like I’ll never sell my 85D, but a front camera would me nice….Agree. An identical 2023 and 2024 car makes little difference. A 2024 (or 2023) with new features matters more.
Yeah. I'd love a front camera but have a feeling I'll miss it by a few weeks. The Supercharging transfer will be nice though.I’m never going to sell the car I have on order, just like I’ll never sell my 85D, but a front camera would me nice….
Why wouldn’t you sell your 85D? Or was it sarcasm? I have a 85D and have ordered an MSLR. Still undetermined if I want to trade-in my 85D. Hence the question.I’m never going to sell the car I have on order, just like I’ll never sell my 85D, but a front camera would me nice….
Tesla offered me 28 for it. Hundred. Why wouldn’t you sell your 85D? Or was it sarcasm? I have a 85D and have ordered an MSLR. Still undetermined if I want to trade-in my 85D. Hence the question.
I’m not shocked. I mean, how much would you pay for a car with a quarter million miles?$2,800? Wow.
Same situation with us, got the plaid X in Oct with FSD Transfer, now with the FUSC, decided to get the wife and upgraded MSLR. Now need to get rid of the newly bare-bone 2017 MS75D. Tesla offered 16k for ours. Auto nation offered 20k.They are offering C$21K. 2016. 160K Kms. No accidents but does have some skirmishes. I just got a MX Plaid in October and ever since then MS85D seems old. With the FUSC transfer, I decided to bite the bullet and order a MS LR. We are two of us and two cars are plenty - so no point in keeping the 85D.
I hear you but it does affect the resale value. Go to Autotrader and lookAgree. An identical 2023 and 2024 car makes little difference. A 2024 (or 2023) with new features matters more.
Buddhist monks agree:Red is always the way to go. Definitely. Love it.
It really depends on batch manf. Color, trim option etc.Waiting on VIN assignment(10/30 Order). With potential of a 24 and maybe some extra goodies, what is the time period from VIN assign to BUILD for most folks. Given i am a week into November and have no VIN, i assume it's going to be late Dec/Jan before i actually take delivery.
If you normalize it for miles the difference is miniscule.I hear you but it does affect the resale value. Go to Autotrader and look
