Has anyone had to go for the “required” FSD test drive before being able to pick up your car? The Wall Street Journal reports that it is now required.
I picked up mine yesterday. The lady who scheduled my pick up said they will do an FSD test drive (and hence asked me to budget more time). After completing the paperwork, two team members escorted me to my new car, and asked whether it was my first Tesla. I said no, and they didn’t do the FSD.

Initially they were going to do home delivery, and I wonder how the FSD demo works for home delivery.

My delivery is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. It will be interesting if I get the FSD demo drive or not.

I'm also a little worried I won't be able to spot misaligned panels or big panel gaps. My eyes have been calibrated with my "perfectly aligned" Chevy. /s  🤣

Toooo funny. If you looked over Any other car manufacturer with calipers, magnifying glass, and all the crazy lists they would laugh at you. Fact is if you go in hunting for an error or blemish you will Always find one. These are transportation vehicles not museum collectibles. Well done pointing out the reality of it.

I don't know. I think if you did that with the Taycan you wouldn't find nearly as many issues.

Etc…..

The amount of unpleasantness and sheer negativity you bring to this forum is astonishing. One could only wish for the ability to universally filter out your posts.
You do infact have the ability. Go for it. I’m not going to stop criticizing this company and products where warranted just because it hurts your feelings.

That’s funny, when I picked up mine, they asked me to budget more time for a full tutorial on DIY ambient lighting and front bumper cam. /s

I picked up my car today. It's not flawless but it was close. The trunk looks like it does not have the sorka-warp. ;)
One of the doors is slightly mis-aligned but that's all I could find.
It's at the Xpel PPF installer right now.

The liftgate is identical to how mine was. Higher on the right. Almost every picture I've seen of a 2024 that is taken from the rear shows the same thing.
How about pictures of the gaps between the liftgate and the roof on the left and right side? Is the drivers side gap by any chance larger than the passenger side?
