I have had my X now for about 1.5 years. Have just over 33k miles on it. The average through 2 summers and a winter (winter tires installed for 6 months) is: 325Wh per mile. The mileage is a mix of highway up to 77 mph and town at 40-45 mph. My work commute is about 40 miles (round-trip) down 1200' and then back up 1200' for the return trip with mostly highway driving.

90D with factory 20" wheels.
Conti-silent for summer and Pirelli winter tires.

I don't baby the car at all. But I also don't step on it all the time (but I do make sure I'm up to full hw speed before merging on when traffic isn't blocking me.

So, what are the rest of you doing that gets you such high Wh per mile?

In all seriousness, I have a 100D with 22" wheels and even if I drive very normally, in 80 degree weather, I can't seem to get below 430 wh/mi. Is something wrong with my car?
I think reading through this entire thread would reveal a lot of comments indicating that the 22" wheels do a number on efficiency. I get the impression that most people think it is because of the weight, but I don't know if that makes sense since that should only matter during acceleration. I suspect if it is because they provide more surface area for wind resistance / air churn.

What is your typical driving route? In my P100D with 22s I would probably be averaging 460-480 on highway alone. It's the regen coming off the highways and then local driving that gets my average down, but even with that it's 430Wh/m. Yesterday I was doing more in-town driving and got my 30-mile down to 380, but then I got back on the highway and it went right back up. But, I'm also averaging 75mph on the highway.

This morning I couldn't let an RS7 blow by me so that got my average back up to 460.. :)

I guess it's the speed that kills efficiency. I usually get around 400Wh/m with top speed 70mph, but with lower speed like 50mph i get 370Wh/km, with my P100D 22 inch Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.
