Got a note from my DS last night -
I have eXciting news – your Model X has entered the early stages of production! Soon, it will move to active production in which the interior is assembled and I will be in touch with this update as well. Following assembly, it will move to final inspections. Upon completion of this step, your car is ready for delivery and I will contact you to schedule your delivery appointment.

Any idea how much time it's taking these days once production has started? The wait has become even longer now.

My car entered production July 4th weekend and my DS told me it was completed today.

From the day that I was told that my car began production to when I actually took delivery in Toronto, ON, Canada was a month plus a day. I know it can be slightly sooner than that too!

Picked up my car last Friday morning (the 15th) and overall I was pleasantly surprised! All of the body panels seem to be lined up well, no issues with the fit and finish on the outside, the sensors in all of the doors seem to work well and they all open just far enough to not hit whatever is surrounding the car. The FWDs consistently only open part way in our garage to avoid hitting the rails that the garage door slides along. (I was worried about that one!) My husband turned the auto present feature on, and it actually works really well! There is some bunching/wrinkling of the white "leather" in a couple of places (on the side of one of the second row seats, under the dash, etc), but my DS didn't seem to think anything could really be done about that. The only real issue that I've had is the front passenger window went "clunk" the first time we rolled it all of the way down, and then it didn't want to go back up beyond the halfway point. I eventually got it to go all of the way up, but something is definitely off with it. I'm going to have my SC look at the alignment of the window. My front window has some ghosting too.

My favorite features are the white interior and the windshield! The front seats are really comfortable and the white/black combo for the interior looks really great! Oh and it's a lot of fun to drive!! :D We're already busy planning our first big road trip, which will be in a couple of weeks! It's a little weird to realize that we are now an entirely gas-free family!

same boat as you. My X finished yesterday and is slated to transport to Denver this weekend for delivery 7/21. VIN 11100. Congrats and lots of happy quiet miles of driving to you and the rest of the July group.
@jsollender - I will also take delivery in Denver (expected late August). I would be interested in hearing about your delivery experience there. Good luck on your Thursday delivery!!

I was called by my DS this afternoon and scheduled for an August 4th delivery date!! :D For now, I guess I'll leave this thread and head over to the August Deliveries group. That said, he did say that there's a chance if transportation times are better than he is estimating, it could be as early as late July. Given my X is already in transit and still has a couple of weeks before the end of the month...we'll see.

I may be back <insert Arnold voice here> :)

Not necessarily! I was at the SC for almost 3 hours when I took delivery. First, I was 20 minutes late, due to traffic.. but that didn't matter, as they weren't ready for me anyways...
We took 1 hr. I think it depends on how familiar you are (prior model s owner). The delivery appointments are scheduled at Tyco SC at two hr intervals. Watching the model X videos (links are in your delivery specialists emails) helps a lot. Did not feel rushed at all, very thorough presentation.
