Especially, since no-one @tesla is using the D naming convention w.r.t. to Model 3.

You have to contact Tesla to order one, it's an off-menu item like the 35k version of the model 3 (well, 35.4k these days)
The "P3" mis-nomenclature still bothers me. It's not a 3 kWh vehicle, and never has been.

It's not a gift- they charge em for 19s.
Even worse- it's not an option. You can take those 19s (and pay for them) or you don't get that car.
P3D- buyers today either take whatever is in inventory or they keep waiting for something acceptable to be in inventory- you can't order the specific color/interior/wheels you want or anything.
Too complicated. Tesla sells performance model 3s, dual motors, and SRs. If you don't have a spoiler, but you have a red line you are a performance. If you have a dual motor with speed upgrade...you are a dual motor (or AWD). I'm not going to type out 20 different variants.
I don't disagree with the P3D comments but I have probably embraced the one more.
I do not like the M3P variant as someone who owned a BMW M3.
If Elon used 3P+ I wonder if he would use 3LR, 3SR, SLR??? (Looking at Mercedes here), SP, XP? I am starting to come around to jsut calling it Model 3 Performance, Model S Performance. Or Performance Model 3.
