SR Not Plus Waiting Room

On Tuesday, my wife and I drove up in the Prime and in an hour, drove back in the SR+. I never looked back and have absolutely no regrets and a lot of 'good Deal!' for the subsequent SR owners. We're all going to be very happy.

Good to see you here, Bob. I followed a lot of your posts over at PC. I'm sure you'll love your car much more than your Prime, if you don't already.

1) Can you turn on the heat in either the front or rear seats?
2) Can you turn on the fog lights?
3) Is your range showing 220 or 240 at 100%

2 day. SR owner
1- Yes
2- Yes
3- 240

but, it's SR+ software. I fully expect these to be changed once my car gets "updated" to an SR load OTA.

I was more than pleasantly surprised when I picked up my Model 3. I paid $35K for a Standard Range and also Autopilot for $3K. My final bill and car (!) was a Standard Plus range, partial Premium interior, fog lights, and leather (leatherette?) electric (for adjusting and heating) seats. Finish on the outside and interior were very nice. Please don't tell Tesla - or maybe I missed something in all the crazy price adjustments that occurred in the last 2 months. I ordered in Feb and was told 6-8 weeks which was accurate.

Just picked up my pearl white SR at the Santa Barbara service center. Delivery experience was excellent. There was a small scuff on the front under the bumper, but my delivery specialist took the car back to the prep area and they were able to buff it out completely. Otherwise, no problems at all.

Driving the car is a blast. 100% satisfied with the purchase.

Of note: on my model 3 SR, the fog lights do work. We tested them before taking delivery. The fog lights setting is enabled.
The front heated seats options also both turn on when pressed. I never left them on long enough to see if the seats actually warm up, though.
Not sure if any of this will be changed in a future software update...

how'd it go?

my delivery window 2-4pm has passed, but I've been on the phone being apprised of the team preparing to go out for delivery, I hope it doesn't get too delayed so i can take a good luck before it gets dark out.
It went smoothly. I was there about 10 min. early and waited about 5. They walked me through setting the phone up as a key and showed me the more relevant things like turning it on and putting it into drive, setting the mirrors, steering wheel and seat positions. After reading so many posts here it wasn't new to me but I'm sure some people haven't been reading about them for as many years as some of us.

Home delivery went off better than I thought it would, my guy was very knowledgeable and friendly, and told me that almost all Seattle deliveries are Tesla Direct these days.

The car is and looks awesome. I am totally satisfied with MSM color, I was worried it might look a bit bland but it almost seems to me that cloudy conditions enhance the shimmer that blue mini flakes give. Perfect for the PNW! Featurewise, the car's such a huge leap from my previous vehicle I almost can't imagine myself driving this. Can't see anything wrong with it for now. Will update when I get around to test driving it.

I can confirm this SR does have functional heated seats (tested) and fog lights, for now. Haven't tested music yet.

If they could get 100% of the people to move to HW3 it would remove two variants of hardware that they would have to support.

They are essentially doing this. All cars with HW3 is bundling AP. One main code base for HW3, and upgrades from HW2.5 to HW3.

They can declare autopilot complete for hw 2 and hw 2.5 cars and have a skeleton crew provide bug fixes and throw bones here and there.

I hope next weeks Autonomy day is compelling enough that it makes FSD a must have for fence sitters.

Congratulations! Since you are one of the first, can you confirm the following:

1) Can you turn on the heat in either the front or rear seats?
2) Can you turn on the fog lights?
3) Is your range showing 220 or 240 at 100%

Definitely 240 miles on a full charge
Fog light definitely work
Front seat heaters definitely work.

But it was asking for a software update and I had postponed it before my road trip to Arizona. I've only had it 24 hours and I've put 400 miles on it.

What a fantastic road trip car. Superchargers are very convenient and th car guiding eight to them is awesome. Range predictions seem spot on. Remaining battery predictions are spot on.

Anyhow it'll be interesting to see what happens after the update. I'm letting it happen tonight.
