SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

Picked up my car on Wednesday. Except for a charger issue that was causing the car to charge at half the 32A rate through a NEMA 14/50 plug everything else has been working great so far.

Good to luck to those who are still waiting and be sure to check the charger at the delivery center before you leave to save a trip back.
Seems to be a small rash of those charger issues. I had to have mine fixed. Easy repair though

Car is in excellent shape with 5 miles.

Very happy!

Wow, the VIN # has just shown up this morning! Ordered SR+ with blue + white + Aero configuration on 6/18. Delivery is schedule for Friday, 6/28.

A question though. Do I have to send the amount due payment before going to the delivery center? TIA

I handed a check w full amount upon pick up...

I agree. No you do not have to pay before. I wouldn’t give them the full deposit until you have seen the car and inspected it yourself. Easier to hold onto your money than trying to get it back from Tesla.

In Denver, CO here...I handed the Delivery Specialist a personal check at the delivery appointment after inspecting the car.
Easy peasy.

ok so for Texas delivery, how far ahead does payment have to clear before the car is transported? i have a delivery date of 6/28 and my credit union today sent the payment. i have signed the mvpa, my downpayment cleared, etc. my account still says 6/28 delivery but i'm getting anxious that it's not enough time for car to get transported from CA to TX....

eek the suspense is killing me . i hope i can make the 6/30 deadline for tax credit. i don't think ive been this nervous since i was pregnant with my first child!

Hmm... that's strange. Though my loan is approved, my credit union won't issue the check until the final paperwork with signatures is submitted. I guess I'll do the funding on the same delivery day.

yeah my credit union wouldn't issue the check unless they got the Letter of Guarantee from Tesla on the titling. then they gave me the documents to sign .

i am not sure how different it is from Texas, as mine has to be transported from CA so i am assuming i have to budget in more days for that. i got the impression they wouldn't start to transport the car until the car was fully paid for (or at least, until they could verify check was on its way) - not sure if this is true or not.

I did CU too...
as soon as they contact you for delivery you can ask them to email you the docs to be signed, using docusign and email the signed docs to your CU, it will take only couple of hrs to process the check , then request to pick up at a branch...thats what i did...
