Supercharger - Aberdeen, WA

Regarding the pictures I posted earlier, that concrete lot looks mostly complete though it does need markings painted. The east entrance to the lot is also still a mud pit that needs some work. The south entrance looks ready if the tape wasn't there. It could still be a bit before the lot is open, even though it appears that the chargers are probably ready to go.

That dot actually looks more like Sequim to me. I lived in Port Angeles and it's definitely too far to the east to be PA.

And I just read that review on PlugShare. What a bummer.

It's really hard to tell. The marker directly north is Squamish, BC. Going directly south on a "real" map from Squamish looks like Sequim. Also, it looks like there is maybe a little land to the east of where the pointer is -- there wouldn't be if it was in Port T.

Yeah, wish they would give us a version we could zoom in on better! Either way, this is great news for the peninsula! I'm super excited.

I drove by the Aberdeen location at about 5:00pm last night. Still not available for use, but I did note that all the charging pedastals had the "Tesla' letter lit, so they appeared to have power. Also on the updated tesla.com supercharger website, they show that Aberdeen is 'opening soon'.

I'll be driving back by on Wednesday, December 21st and we'll see if they have opened up then.

I posted a few pictures around 2:50pm yesterday earlier in this thread. They still need to paint markers on the concrete so I imagine it'll be a bit still. County/city moves slow on these things.

They also still need to built the wood fence around the Supercharger cabinets. A few more finishing touches and it'll be ready to go! Can't wait!

This depends on the jurisdiction. Not all installations have fencing.

Just east of Sequim, a Holiday Inn Express and Black Bear diner (both known as SC hosts) share a parking lot.

Yeah, that area would be a perfect location, and it looks like it just might fit with where Tesla has it on the projected map.
Sorry to put this in the Aberdeen thread but I'd like to offer a different take on the placement. It looks to be a bit East of the hump that has the Dungeness bay on it. It could also be at the 7 Cedars Casino. Although, I like the sound of the Holiday Inn Express/Black Bear location better. Just a thought. :p

It's open now!!

I have the pleasure of being the first to charge here! Was just driving by as the crew was pulling up the fencing and they invited me in. Charging now!

I thanked the crew for their work here and answered some questions about how Supercharging works. Told them a bunch of us have been following the construction for months and anticipating this opening. They were really surprised by that and a bit touched.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Awesome!!
I've been waiting for Aberdeen to open for a long time. Hoping that I can now make it with my trailer now from Redmond to Ocean City. Just couldn't quite make it without this SC in Aberdeen.
Now we need Forks and PA!
Can't wait to get out there and check it out! Thanks for scouting everyone! A beach trip is definitely needed for us soon anyway.

Hey there neighbor! Still owe you a burger and shake for that garage test fit! We've even managed to get two in there!:p;)
