Three weeks until the end of Q1... :(
Still no movement on Hobart, Armidale, Holbrook or Perth.
And 10 days left, I suspect we can draw a line under Q1 2022.

at least Tailem Bend and (maybe) Margaret River opened in Q1.

Recent floods have caused some issues.
Gympie and Brisbane Fortitude Valley were down for a few days.

Brisbane Toombul went underwater along with most of the shopping centre, which seemingly might be closed for months.

Harwood also underwater and status unknown.

So with the misses from Q1 and the list from Q2 we've got quite a watchlist

  • Armidale, NSW - Q1 2022
  • Holbrook, NSW - Q1 2022
  • Tenterfield, NSW - Q2 2022
  • Sydney (Central/Homebush), NSW - Q2 2022
  • Newcastle, NSW - Q2 2022
  • Melbourne (East/Nunawading), Vic - Q2 2022
  • Brisbane West (Indooroopilly), Qld - Q2 2022
  • Perth, WA - Q1 2022
  • Hobart, Tas - Q1 2022

Plus a suggestion from a local paper that Blaxland, NSW due in April 2022.

Rumour has it the sled removed from Horsham will shortly be re-deployed somewhere...
Tesla Aus should also have the sled that was removed from Warnambool in mid-2020 and not put elsewhere.
Wasn’t there one planned for Wollongong? With the World Cycling Road Race Championships 18-25 September a supercharger would get plenty of use.
Wollongong was pushed back to Q3. Wouldn't think a single event would move the dial much. The issues seem to be site, infrastructure and approval related.

My guess is they'd use the sled if it's necessary to plug a gap in the network. e.g. say they have an agreement on the Rockhampton site but nothing in Childers/Bundaberg, rather than have a 472 km gap between sites they will instead find a smaller site on the highway around Childers and plonk the sled there.

Another example might be Armidale/Tenterfield. Or using somewhere that is not on their map as an example, lets say they've got an unsolicited offer for a great site in Mildura that ticks all the boxes. That's 400 km from Adelaide and 400 km from Bendigo. They might put a sled in (say) Berri, and another in Ouyen.

I can't imagine somewhere like Wollongong fitting the bill, since it's relatively close to other options, but that's just my guess/opinion.

Unsurprisingly - more pushbacks.
Tesla has made it easy for themselves by not promising anything for Q2 2022.

Only one new site listed - Brisbane Central (CBD)
And they still haven't listed sites that are known from council applications including Blaxland, Tareee, Yass in NSW and Lancelin in WA.
