More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

Finished up our road trip. Long day, however, we were too close to home to pay the high room rates in southern Ohio, so we drove later than we like.
Both Louisville traffic at 5pm, and Cincinnati traffic at 7pm, were negative experiences to finish the trip!
I did manage to slip into the Moraine, OH, service center after hours for a few kWh's in the only one of the two stalls open.

I really love the new system. I just looked at it. This will make things so much easier.
Quick question if it's OK here. Will my map update as soon as I checked in a new one or will we still have to wait for the manual update?
Several of us are in the DC area. Let us know if you come through. It'd be great to have a meetup. Would love to see your setup.

Had a little excitement on my annual summer trip. Got a 12V low voltage warning while driving through Georgia. After 24 hours of concern that my car could brick at any moment (unlikely but possible) I got it replaced in Houston the next day! *phew*

After that I visited friends on a regenerative farm at TerraPurezza near Austin and am in Santa Fe now.

Next up is visiting 4 national parks with my dad. Grand Canyon, Zion, Tetons, and Yellowstone (7/17-21).
@benswing, awesome about the road trip and sightseeing but as a friendly reminder from the Admin crew, could you please post your visits to the thread when you can? We realize you might not have time to do it every day but it is most-crucial during these next few days as we do the cutover to the new supercharging.life setup that we have backup/duplicate entries in this thread and the spreadsheet so we can confirm all visits are in the new supercharging.life setup otherwise visits might be removed because they weren't posted and you'd have to go back and re-enter them.

(also, shucks that I was going to take a very short trip to the Beach and was hoping to catch you but definitely not now with your much longer trip but maybe I'll see you in the 800s at some point)

Jealous of those Nat'l Park trips, @benswing. Enjoy for the rest of us and catch ya on the flip side. I'll confirm all those visits just to be sure but thanks for getting to them.

Did you visit the "Houston - Hempstead Hwy (SC), TX" location? You entered 07/08 for that date (a 1st visit) but only listed Northwest Freeway which you already had so I'll remove the date for Hempstead Hwy until you can confirm.

You already had these 10 locations:
  • Wytheville, VA (06/15/2019)
  • Greenville, AL (06/17/2019)
  • Houston - Northwest Fwy, TX (6/19/2019)

Well, I headed across the transverse range on Wednesday to try to chisel away at the vast unvisited Superchargers on my list. Here they are:

Wednesday, July 13:

Barstow - Main St.*
Barstow - Outlet Mall†
Lake Arrowhead ‡
Highland
Redlands
Cabazon - Morongo Casino§

Thursday, July 14:

Temecula - Temecula Valley Parkway
San Marcos
Vista
Carlsbad - Paseo Del Norte
San Clemente - Vista Hermosa
Mission Viejo - Shops
Mission Viejo - Crown Valley
Irvine - Walnut
Brea
Diamond Bar
Ontario

* Not sure why they have the temporary 72kW palleted Superchargers here. It is very convenient between I-15 and just off I-40. Maybe for those who want to avoid a tow to the Chili's in Barstow six miles away? There is zip here. Is this a planned addition of perhaps a dozen or more stalls?

† This place was a disaster. I plugged into four different spots and got the dreaded red ring and the message to go away and try again. (I guess I need to look at every location before dialing into navigation. The blurb said five stalls were down--and not a block of four. Four cars appeared to be charging at the far end. I drove over to the 48A destination chargers until someone arrived to leave. I hastily plugged in, got green for a few seconds, unplugged and went to Chili's. The next morning the location was shown as "temporary closure." Right now it is back in business. Tesla needs to reflect the bad stalls more prominently rather than on the location blurb. I reckon that the hapless souls who rely upon the Tesla navigation would have no idea that the stall they selected was broken. And this hapless soul I guess should scout out every spot in advance--gonna have to learn a new trick.

‡ Could the navigation be any worse? It took me to the top level. Couldn't find them. I parked and asked around where the plugs were. Finally someone told me how to drive down below. C'mon Tesla, don't drop us in the middle of nowhere without some guidance as to where the chargers are in a stacked parking facility. PlugShare was not much help either.

§ I took a page out of Bighorn's playbook. I charged here to 90%. Walked out of the casino thirty minutes later having increased my net worth by $250. Unplugged and found a dark, secluded spot and grabbed some shut eye around 11PM. That is, until a flashlight was shown in my face through the passenger window by a security person around 3:30 AM. He was cool, but asked that I leave due to the "transient" population that ambles through. So, back to the travel center and a cup of coffee to go, and back on the road.

Yesterday: #127 Frederick - Buckeystown Pike, MD

Already added to the spreadsheet ahead of tomorrow's cut-over to the database, and I also got myself squared away on supercharging.life directly so I'm ready for the change.

I'm slowly chipping away at my local(-ish) superchargers, but I still have quite a few remaining.

I had to return a couple of kids to Las Vegas yesterday and made the 600 mile round trip with no new Supercharger locations. I did have navigator/a co-driver (Gloria's son).

Today, I charged at the new Tempe, AZ Supercharger instead of at home to fill up after the trip. It was already busy, 6 - 9 of 14 taken most of the time. A Tesla tech was still working on it and cut the power to the #3 stalls, so I had to move to a different stall. Someone in a red Model S asked me why it showed $0.00 charging cost. I said it was so new, the accounting probably was not set up yet. When I got home, I checked my Tesla account and it showed the chargers I used on the LV trip but not Tempe. Will the new supercharging.life record a visit if the Tesla account does not?

07/15/22 Friday
#570 Tempe, AZ

The newly paved and stripped area on the right looks like it could have been an ideal charging area for a Tesla with a trailer. Even the pedestal for the handicapped spot would not reach unless the trailer stuck out into the aisle. This site has only 14 pedestals, not the normal multiple of 4.

Arrowhead was a definite challenge.

I feel a little more immune to security interference if I’m plugged in or at least in a Tesla spot.

I finally got around to snagging 1201 2nd Ave, Seattle. I have had a mental block about going downtown for this one after two previous failed attempts.

I need whatever little extra defense I can muster against NKYTA's onslaught. 🤯

Entered it with supercharging.life from my phone, which worked like a charm. Also updated the spreadsheet.

1306. Seattle - 1201 2nd Avenue, WA

Resistance is futile. 😬
