To think they are updating lights to encourage trade-ins is pretty silly

I just checked, newer Model Y tails that aren’t 100% compatible with pre-late 2020 Model Y, are also OTC without vin

Even if they VIN restrict it we’ll see them on Ebay after a month lol

The appliqué-less hatch design has been in Tesla’s mind for a while. Here’s an S with a different hatch from May 2021. If this hatch is related to the new hatch, we can assume that the new lights will fit the old design, since they used the old lights in the newer hatch (obviously to not hurt demand due to a leak)

Also it’s possible that the new design will use a smaller appliqué to fit that new indented area, they just didn’t tape it on. Makes sense because that test car is using silver wheels, def not a production car

Man, the aero kit is going to be awesome but they're still not going as far as I'd want them to go. Not everyone likes a sleeper car and it already is one - if they're going to add something, they should go balls to the wall. I'd love a Plaid "RS"/"Black Series" model with the aggressive aero that those respective cars have, like a DTM racer. I'm talking:

- Huge fixed rear aerofoil
- More downforce fins/vents for brakes
- Wider stance/flares/tires
- Carbon fiber all the things

I hear that the new tail lights shave 1/2 second off the quarter mile time and extend the range 50 miles. Lol. I need to upgrade the MSLR that I still have picked up yet already.

This looks much better. Doubt you can retrofit though, would need a new trunk. Or at least new aftermarket trunk applique .

Aftermarket appliqué would suffice for the tailgate. The rest… possible but doesn’t mean it would be easy or hard.

Yep, it was a plaid badge. Looks retrofittable? Since the bar is still there just body color.

Appliqué is still there so we should be good for a retrofit. Unless they only make the new lights with a CCS connector

Looks like the same hatch without an Appliqué fitted. I think I can see the clip holes. Maybe they are still designing a shorter one? Lol
