Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Does everyone that has VINs assigned and getting calls already have finance approved or paying cash?
I stalled on the finance as I had a family issue come up when they emailed about it. Still not approved yet. Should be by tomorrow though.
Damn it.

I can at least confirm that my finance is not approved yet and I have had nothing - no hidden vin, call, etc. I am a 2018 reservation holder, first day order, with a P3D+ with FSD in Melbourne (so tick the high margin as well , so I may not be the top of the list, but I think I am high enough that I assumed it is the lack of confirmed finance as to why I have nothing.

Obviously being an earlyish reservation holder and first day ordered, I am Tesla obsessed but this forum has taken me to new heights! I don’t have funding arranged because I was not too fussed about a August/September delivery (before finding this place!) so I did not follow through after I placed the order. Now I am tracking ships, stalking containers and spying NZ transports and kicking myself for not having it arranged earlier. Should be approved tomorrow. I switched from Pepper to Macquarie on Monday and they have been great. I could pay in cash (prefer to finance) but at this point I am afraid to touch anything!

We are arranging a personal loan through BoM. Applied last week and haven't been approved as yet. Emailed our relationship manager and he got back to us asap to let us know he will chase it up tomorrow. With a Bali trip on the 2nd, we are sitting pretty tight with timelines but hoping we can push this through before we go. Just not sure what happens if we miss delivery first time around so prefer to get it done first go..

Yerp that’s the one I posted a pic of yesterday. Some movement in Sydney at least. Seems like they are mostly pushing the deliveries to the distant places (from Sydney) first. Probably rolling out the majority of the Sydney deliveries from the second boat (Kota??) so they can for the most part honor their delivery order promises and have a national launch somewhat simultaneously. Just a theory I have. Too much time to contemplate...

Very likely - I'm trying to call them (Brisbane) to see if they have parts in yet for the CCS2 charger upgrade and can't get hold of anyone. They're probably running round like headless chooks. I'll cut them some slack for a couple of weeks.

Yeah, same here. Cash possible but with the rate they are offering it's better to use their money.
I reserved on 09/04/2016.
Ordered day one. Added FSD a week later, after it jumped to $8500, damn it. I had paid $2100 for the white so that changed to zero when adjusting.
Well, figures crossed with clearing finance tomorrow and a call soon.

A bit of activity on the account which is positive and moving forward I guess. Noticed my wife's DOB was wrong and emailed today and that got fixed up straight away and is now reflecting in the registration tab. Also, posted custom plates to Tesla Melbourne and now the plates are showing up as well in the account so hoping delivery specialist call is not too far away. Don't want to get carried away but fingers crossed and toes curled for a call this week with a delivery update..

@maveric74 Did Tesla ask you to post your custom plates to them? I have used custom plates and they're showing up in my account source code but I haven't been asked to send them to Tesla.

I actually got on the front foot and sent the delivery team an email and they asked me to send them through. You need to send them through 5 days before delivery but at any stage before delivery is also fine (which is what we have done). I sent through my reservation number in the email as well and as of today (which is when plates were received by Tesla Melbourne), our account is now reflecting the custom plates. Hope that helps

ACT. From what I've been reading there are a few of us in Canberra etc. Tesla is bundling them up and trying to get them to us on the same day, from my chat to the delivery person.

I am in ACT as well, reserved in 2017, ordered mid July, No VIN, account on Next Steps, no call, no account movement, no email, no invoice, no car, no nothing.. But maybe, just maybe, this Canberra bundling is a thing...

Unlike a bunch of other large companies Tesla seems to use real phone numbers to call you, at least for me over the last few years I've dealt with them...i.e. no private numbers unlike the banks or the marketing idiots. I never pick up any private numbers anymore. If they don't leave a message for sure you know they are dodgy. So you didn't miss out as far as Tesla phone call me thinks.

Same boat, except I'm Googong based, which although is technically NSW, it's only 10mins from ACT.

I'm hoping I can get it delivered to my ACT work address to save my a Sydney trip.
