A Tesla rep told me that the Tesla chargers are approx $25,000 though, which I was shocked about, but still more believable.

I think the bulk of the cost is the real estate. You need to either (1) buy the plot, or (2) enter into long dated leases over the land where the chargers are to be located.

Funnily enough, it is the same point that allows the estimated cost of Boring Company tunnels to be cheaper than widening/building motorways. If you want to build a motorway, you need to buy out the land from the existing owners. If you want to bore a tunnel, you need to negotiate an easement through the ground underneath the existing owner without having to buy the whole plot of land outright. Depending on jurisdiction, if you go deep enough there are no property rights.
 
I've got my delivery appointment at 11am tomorrow in the Auckland Showroom for my Red P- (Lite / Stealth).
Exciting !!!

There are a few things I am looking to confirm:
- Homelink: I think premium interior should include Homelink.
- Towing retrofit: I read it is comming. Would like confirmation. Probably no point asking about price.
- Trackmode: Should be present, maybe, crossing fingers...
- Spoiler + Top speed: I think only 233kmh. Need P+ to get a spoiler. Need spoiler fitted before enabling software switch for 262kmh.

Any other questions I should ask?

It was definitely still there when I purchased as part of the premium interior, it was a driving factor of me purchasing the premium interior, so I made sure of it.

I hope you’re not setting yourself up for disappointment, but I asked this question of my delivery specialist. Homelink isn’t included on any variant no matter when it was ordered, it was listed in error and they will not be offering any compensation other than the ability to cancel the order. :(

Not sure about NZ, in Australia when the orders opened up, the P- did not include track mode or the top speed unlock. It did include homelink though. The top speed unlock was only on o/s orders that needed to wait for their carbon fibre spoiler to be installed on a delivered M3P. I’ve not checked, but it may also be connected to the speed rating of the tyres?

There’s a rumour floating around that a price increase is imminent at the end of the week due to the state of the currency. Make of it what you will.
Yea, I got that too. Tesla rep called ma about that last Friday, so I finally gave in and put my order in for SR+ MSM M3. I was holding out for a few options, but realized if the price is going up, I might not even get this one, so I gave in and put my order in.
 
Had a test drive of red M3 performance with white interior today, Martin Place, Sydney. 30 mins start stop traffic, wet conditions. Not much fun as a test drive experience. I don’t think 30 mins in Sydney CBD is going to win fence sitters over. Car is great. Comfortable, easy to drive. not at all harsh on the suspension. Wonderful sound playing from Spotify. I don’t need winning over, I have P3- already ordered 1st June, reservation Oct 2018.
One note on driving style, I am used to taking foot off accelerator and hovering over brake if anything sketchy is happening around me for quicker reaction times but this causes fairly heavy regen braking in the M3 on standard setting. Something I will need to adapt to. Judging by everything happening, it will be back end of September for my delivery. Relatively late in the reservation, I have no problems waiting a few more weeks. Congrats to those with locked in deliveries.

I asked Auckland store about Homelink, when I ordered Homelink was included (P+)
They were unsure if it would be installed, but suggested they would follow up if it was missing.

If you are new to EVs then yes, you just need to give the car in front a little more space and be a bit less binary with the accelerator
