Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I got a call from a delivery specialist on Thursday and they followed up with an email later. The email contained a link to this private video:

I'm not sure if this vid has been posted before? Anyway, it seems pretty comprehensive. You can download the manual ahead of time and have a quick read so you know where all the key features are. That and this video should be more than enough, it's not like the delivery specialist will tell you anything more.

According to this video, Tesla bundles a wall connector with the vehicle in Australia/New Zealand? That is definitely not the case in the UK, where you just get the UMC and a Type 2 cable. Good value!

the reverse light flickers on as the driver tried to indicate with the wrong stalk... putting the car in reverse, stopping the car and resulting in a butt bump. I can definitely see this being me one day. Would love an option to turn off switching to reverse with the car in motion.

While I agree that this may be a problem, I'm not sure if the video shows this. The indicator was on all the time. Though, maybe the driver forgot it was on and tried to reactivate it.
Frankly though, the person behind should have been paying attention.

I've had my car for 7 years, and while indicators are obviously second nature I still cant remember which side is lights and which is wipers (both on automatic so I don't use them that often I guess). I spray the car when trying to say thank you more often than I care to think about.
While I've got the indicator thing worked out on the euro cars I drive, I still have to think too long about how to wash the windscreen. If I get it wrong, I end up flashing my high beams at someone. One day I'm going to get some road rager go crazy, when all of wanted to so is wash my windscreen.

You can use AP on any road/surface providing the gray indicator is active.

However that doesn't mean you're supposed to. At least, not according to Tesla:

Don't be worried - it's really easy. No handbrake, no gears, no noise. Just put it in D, drive it like an automatic and enjoy. Plug in at night and it's ready to go the next morning.

And ask questions here, there are lots of knowledgeable people willing to help (whether they have experience or not :)

Thanks aegidius. Nice to know we have support from yourself and all club members.

I have had a delivery date scheduled for 19th September since 21st August.
I got my invoice on 27th August. Build date 10th July. I live in Perth. First day reservation, first day order. SR+. No communication other than two emails regarding tentative delivery date and invoice. I am guessing they are too under the pump to reply. My VIN did change slightly. I would like to update my details on the sheet, but not really sure how.

Does anyone know where to get good floor mats? Haven't had any luck asking through Tesla.

The AliExpress ones through luckeasy aren't bad (although they do come rolled up and you need to air them out), and there are some TapTes ones which just seem like carpet. Tesla is pretty useless with responding so nothing new, they are pretty busy. Are you getting the SR+? That one doesn't come with mats.

Just wanted rubber type mats because the grandkids are messy. I'll have to see if I can find the ones you're talking about. We've ordered a performance with the white seats, which I hope won't stain too easily but from the reviews I've read this doesn't seem to be the case.

First post here, came looking for floor mats but found a whole community unexpectedly from the looks of it. I've been reading the last few pages cant believe there are so many posts!! Anyways I've bought a model 3 and very excited to get it on the 23rd of september.
