Feels incredibly premium. I was actually quite impressed by the SR+ audio system. It was one of the major reasons I wanted to go up but it wouldnt have been a responsible purchase. Rest assured even the SR+ audio system is impressive for a stock system with no sub
Glad to hear that, as I was also concerned that SR+ could not be upgraded to premium audio. Anyway, I have ordered SR+ and waiting on delivery dates.

Yay 500!!! (and only 10 of them wasted on my simple question "does the car have digital radio" lol).

Should we go back to pros and cons of paying for car with Amex card? Or how bout the whole who should be called a doctor?

(Kidding - nobody re-start those PLEASE).

One real thing I've been puzzling over, Has anybody managed to buy the wheel nut caps etc for when you take the Aero caps off? Are they worth it? And more to the point - did Tesla actually have them available when you picked up the car??

There has been another 5036XX person who has also been contacted which means the cars are definitely here.
I am that other person and am currently scared shitless I'm going to receive the delayed call. Although, my home delivery date is currently scheduled for the 10th October and my delivery specialist said they wouldn't be getting the car in Brisbane until the 3rd.

I bought the Hub set etc from Taptes (cost about USD$60 or so), rather than trying to buy them from Tesla. I figured it would be too tricky to get them from Tesla in Adelaide. I'm pretty happy with them, and the whole take the aero covers off and put the replacement hubs and nuts on, took all of 5 minutes and no tools. Here is a photo of them on. The aeros are better in real life as many have said, but I like the alloys underneath better I think. I am loving having the 18's rather than the 21's on my previous Model S - quieter and a bit less susceptible to kerb rash I think/hope.

I bought mine on eBay (For Tesla Model 3 S & X Aero Wheel Cap Kit Center Cap Set & Wheel Lug Nut Cover | eBay). I havent picked up the car yet to put them on, but they look good quality. Has a proper steel snap ring on the back to hold it in place etc. Not a bad price too.

500 and still no VIN...…..3.5 years of waiting...…..

Ooh pearl white performance pack with FSD - that's a burger with the lot! They do seem to have rammed as many basic configs out first before moving up to the performance versions. I guess they could build the SR+'s in a few big batches and get them out of the way.

I feel for you that's a huge time to wait, but boy that car will be awesome when it arrives!

Is it very hard to get the aero covers off the wheels?

Taking the aero covers off is quite easy. Grab a 1/5 segment with both hands and give a gentle but firm tug till that segment comes free off the rim. Move to an adjacent segment and repeat until the whole cover comes off.

I did this yesterday and installed the TAPTES nut covers and centre pieces and this is what it looks like.

Storing the aero covers can be problematic as they're LARGE  and the shelves in my garage cupboard isn't that deep. They're currently butted up face to face in pairs on a table with an anti-slip mat in between each pair. I'll need to reorganise the cupboard so I can store them vertically. You can buy an AeroTote bag from Evannex designed specifically for storing the aero covers. Quite pricey for a bag though.

Putting the covers back should be quite easy---you have to remove the nut covers and centre pieces first. Removing the centre pieces can be an issue as they're locked in quite snugly. I bought a suction cup puller (diameter ~55mm) like this one from Amazon AU specifically for this purpose.

Checked moments ago - still no VIN. waiting,,,,,waiting,,,,,waiting,,,,,
No delivery date.........,
Maybe I should just buy that Roadster?
Perhaps waiting will make the final delivery all that much sweeter??

When it does get here, I'm going to ask all the Perth 3 owners to get together for a Sunday event!!!
Take a long cool drive up the coast - Model 3 heaven!!!
