Same... Why they didn't include it by default is beyond me. Who wants to take their phone out of their case to plug it in... I did and dropped it and broke the glass, first time its been out of its case, ugh.

Huh. I've never seen a case that did not have an opening for the charging connector. Some sort of water proof contraption ?

Any case with any bulk to it wont allow the charging cable to connect. Perhaps really slim cases would?

Yeah it'll work with a slim case. But it should really be wireless.

I picked one up. Not the most powerful charger but it's certainly the best looking.

That's pretty slick looking. I wonder if someone will be able to incorporate that into a Model 3 and make it so we can use it as a wireless charger.

This charger has its own battery that will output 5W for on the go situations. But if you plug it in, it'll output 5V/1.5A, which is the max I believe for wireless charging on the iPhone 8/X.

Gorgeous! I wonder why they took the item off their website. The moment it returns (hopefully soon) I will buy one!

My case isn't super thin nor is it super thick but provides pretty good drop protection (supcase brand). It works with the original cable after I fold a tiny piece of paper a few times and place it to the bottom of the connector to give it a small amount of lift.

Didn’t Tesla say there was going to be a Qi Charger standard in the model 3 during unveiling?

I just ordered a NOMAD wireless charger. Was going to order one of those Jeda ones then a thread on this forum pushed me towards the NOMAD, despite not being available just yet.

I agree, the nomad has a charging module built into it so it can support fast charging, the one i posted is external.

Has anyone put this into the phone location of the center console? If you remove the padding, does it drop in easily and still allow the door to close if the phone is there? If so I might get two of them.
