Wiki Teslike Model Y Survey & Order Tracker Spreadsheet

I asked if someone could give me a quick overview on how to operate and was told I should have watched the videos.

That's unfortunate. This is one area Tesla needs to improve upon. I've bought a Model S and a Model 3 and got a pretty perfunctory delivery of my Model Y on the 18th. Even tho that was fine, it wasn't a "luxury car" experience, whereas my Model S delivery was.

How can I edit my data now that I've taken delivery? I don't see Edit button, even after refreshing the form.

If you want to change any of your data, open the same Google form again (not the spreadsheet), change the data, scroll down and click submit.

I still don't see an edit button anywhere on the form after refreshing. I just get the same empty form with Submit button. How is it supposed to know it's me? By IP address? Mine changes from time to time.

I see in the video it says "You have to be logged into your e-mail account". Does that mean Google account? I tried making sure I was signed into Google, but I tried both my Google accounts, & neither seemed to trigger the edit button on the form. I use Firefox 78.0.2.

@Tysto, when you open the form again after you submit it, you should see a link that says "Edit your response". If you don't see that link but instead you see a blank form, it means you are logged in to a different Google account. I can't tell you which one because Google doesn't share that information which is a good thing. If you open the form while you are not logged in (for example in Incognito Mode) Google will tell you that you will remain anonymous. The only information I get is what is shown on the 'Form Responses' tab on the spreadsheet. Your entry is in row 2131. When you edit your entry, it will make changes in the same row. If you can't figure out which account you have used, I can cancel this entry and you can submit a new one if you want.

Not sure if this thread already exists, if yes, please remove...

It seems unfair that people after me have been getting their MY while I still wait on sideline ;), so I figured we vent a bit here...

I know the deliveries depend on order date, configuration, locations, some other "unknown: factors, but here's my info:

1. Date of order: 6/16/20
2. Changed configuration: 7/14/20
3. Configuration:
LR, AWD
Exterior
: Black. Interior: White. Wheels: 20 inch Induction, NO FSD.

I Will update once I get my VIN.

Maybe I wasn't logged into Google at all, and I've forgotten that it told me my information would be anonymous. Oh well. I've entered new information now. Please delete the old entry (2131). Thanks! The spreadsheet is fascinating!

No VIN assignments in August yet...cause for concern?

Just received mine this evening via phone call from my Direct Carrier specialist. Call was at 6:09 p EST - checked email later as I was busy at the time and email was sent 6:08 p EST. FWIW: order was placed 7/13/20, so - exactly 3 weeks today.

My config was basic: LR AWD, white, black interior, 19" wheels, no FSD. Essentially the default white LR AWD.

VIN: 025xxx

I'll be receiving it via Direct Carrier shipment as I live in Maine. Direct Carrier specialist said my vehicle is sitting waiting/ready in Paramus, NJ.

For people finding their VINs under their MVPA, when did this show up in your account. I still only see order agreement and lemon law under documents.

Not sure why my Mange Orders page in my online account nor page source is showing VIN either...but *shrug*. My only source of VIN was through my Direct Carrier specialist's email with the MVPA sent as attachment with VIN info. (Eventually, my sales specialist emailed me a day or so later with the VIN copied/pasted from my MVPA in the email body).

That’s exactly where it appeared for me. One day I noticed my screen seemed different.... It said “pay off your balance soon” and then there was a new link that said “add bank account”. That caught my attention and then I kept looking at the page and I saw MVPA just below the order agreement lemon law. The source code never showed a VIN for me.....

I have a possibly dumb question. Did I receive a "delivery preparation email" or is this something different?

Congratulations on your Model Y order & welcome to the Tesla family! It has been a pleasure working with you.

As discussed, before we can schedule your delivery appointment you will need to complete the following steps in your Tesla account:

1. Enter your home address & select your delivery location

2. Enter your Registration Information

3. Upload your Driver’s License

4. Indicate whether you will be trading in a vehicle (if yes, add the VIN, mileage & payoff amount)

5. Select your payment method & complete the credit application if you intend to finance with Tesla

6. Email me a photo of your current auto insurance, so I can upload it to your account

7. Lastly, press the blue “Submit” button at the bottom of the page to finalize your checkout

I’d also like to share with you a few resources that new owners find very helpful:

Yep, the spreadsheet is great!

And from looking at the VINs, if they are going as high as 35,xxx but folks are getting deliveries now of cars in the 17,xxx or 25,xxx range, that tells me these are 'repaired' cars that are now making their way back out from the body shops?

Which is perfectly fine IMHO. I agonized over return my Y with 10+ defects, mostly paint related. I just didn't want to be the guy making countless trips to Tesla to rectify them:

- burning my time shuttling to and from Tesla facilities
- potentially spending money on a rental if they run out of loaners
- paying for insurance and car payments while it's back in Tesla's hands

So I suspect after I turned the car back in, Tesla now has an army of gofers shuffling my former car around to all the facilities that can rectify these 10+ problems and then assigning to new owners when it's ready.

Question: If the car is under 1000 miles, and it was turned back in to the manufacturer, is there some legal clause that says they get to ZERO out the odometer again? I put about 300 miles on mine before returning it, but it's still not near 0. Does Tesla get to sell these as NEW cars again?

Thanks....

I ordered 7/25, received a phone call about a match that was at another store on Tuesday, and will be picking up tomorrow. vin at 25***, production date 7/20. PUP, Grey/Black. I am/was worried about being a reject as well, but I was told it was assigned but the person can not take it due to finances.
I was also under the impression that the VIN #s are not in chronological order, isn't that accurate?
