For those have taken delivery, when did you hear about your inspection? My delivery is on Saturday but Cedar Springs still cannot tell me if my vehicle clears the inspection. I have reserved a rental car and it needs a 24-hr notice for full refund if I need to cancel it. I sure hope it won't happen but I'm getting nervous.

Hey @pub cheese we definitely were in the waiting room at the same time! Glad yours ended up being alright - I saw that you had a little one as well. I think it was just our delivery specialist and how non-chalant and flippant he was about everything.

Love the car though! Traveling today but I’ve been keeping an eye on my wife who finally took it out for a spin on the app :)

Question to this board - When does Tesla title the vehicle into a buyer's name? Do they have to title the vehicle to they buyer before they ship it into Texas? Or, does that happen during the delivery? Or, do they provide the title only after delivery?

"The 'FedEx' package" contains the forms for title and registration, as well as limited power of atty so they can complete the registration process. I surrendered my signed and sealed envelope upon delivery two weeks ago, still waiting on plates and title. My first 30 day tags expire day after tomorrow, and there is another 30 day tag on the flip side of the currently displayed tag.

Hope she likes the actual car more than the Tesla personnel and overall delivery experience. Funny, my wife didn't drive it yesterday, either - it was just too late by the time my hands were pried off of the wheel. All through this she has said I've been too nice, though.

Come on North Texas deliveries.... keep comin' in :) (and everywhere else in TX too - have been lurking and watching the painful waits with sympathy... for those still waiting, the car is absolutely worth it, and yes Tesla absolutely needs to get their act together as they continue scaling - but let's try not to add too much ammunition for the FUD either!)

If you will have a 3 in the DFW area by Saturday and haven't registered yet, join us at the Drive Electric Week event at Grapevine Mills. So far there are 54 Model S's and 44 Model 3's registered. I'd love to see the 3's outnumber the S's (early signs of the 'car for the masses' and all....)

I registered as a 3 but I’m probably going to be a sad Toyota Venza :( Anxiously awaiting confirmation that my car moved today as they said it would. So far no evidence that it has. Still hoping.

Is there a way to find out if your car is in "rail jail"? I searched at the unitedroad.com web site, but it cannot find my VIN. Is it something that is found out via the IDA or is there another way to find out? My Dallas delivery has been pushed from 9/1 to 9/7 and now to 9/20 (paid 8/16).

I live in OK, it would be nice if I could "spring" it directly from the OK rail jail if it is sitting here....

Edge of rim, not the cover. Was being too aggressive whipping into a parallel parking space. There is a two coat paint system on the rim, grey over a black primer. Wish I didn't know that.

Were you using the autopark feature?

Bummer about the rash though, the forward visibility is tricky because you see forward really well, but not so much on the sides! You going to get it fixed, or chock it up to "one of the car's stories"?

Can you believe Sleeping Lesson got a home delivery? I guess the wheel should have squeaked earlier!

Day 1 line stander
Red, LR, EAP
Ordered 8/29
Got my VIN 8/30
Scheduled delivery Date Week of 9/24

A couple of questions that hopefully some of the veterans through the system can help assist me with.

I am working with an ISA in Vegas, this seems to be true for everyone. My credit union has preapproved me for a loan but I am missing some documents from Tesla and am waiting for them to give me those items so my CU can either wire the money or give me a check.

Is it weird that I haven't even paid a single penny for my car and yet they have already given me my delivery date? I am trying to get this financing stuff figured out but the document hold up is slowing me down.

I thought I would be able to go to my Tesla account and make a ACH payment because I am putting both a down payment and financing at the same time, but as of right now there does not seem to be a way for me to do so. Is my ISA supposed to send me instructions to give me to CU either telling them who to make the cashiers check out to or giving me some sort of routing number so they can wire the money to Tesla?

If i take the cashiers check route, do I just bring it with me on the day I go to pick up my car and hand it over to the guy at the delivery center? This seems highly unlikely because I thought the car had to be fully funded before they even sent it to us over here in Texas, and the whole thing with them not being able to officially sell anything in Texas me giving them a check in person seems like a payment made in Texas.

I have called my ISA and will be lucky if he picks up, I understand they are super busy right now and do not fault them for this at all.

Maybe the transportation issues are getting resolved. Just got a call from the service center and my car has arrived in San Antonio and would I like to take delivery Saturday? For those who are curious I have nothing come up from UR tracking with my VIN but I remember someone here being told their car was going to San Antonio via rail so maybe that is how it got here?

How long have you been waiting?
