I keep mine in the front part of the door pocket that bulges out enough to hold a water bottle. It fits perfectly and doesn't rattle or roll around.

I keep it in the glove box. Would love to find a better place for it.

Did you know that when the car goes into regen braking that the brake lights come on? Makes sense, but I never noticed it until I had had the car for awhile.

On a similar note...have you noticed that when your turn signals are on, you can see them blinking in the little X avatar on the dashboard?

I discovered today that the door pocket is pretty deep. I tried to fit the adapter at the deep end and it felt like it fit snugly. I cant think of keeping anything else in there.. so that is likely going to be this adapter's home in my car.

According to the manual (on page 60) you have enable max battery power.

Correct, it just doesn't need to be fully warmed up.

TIL, if you have any other door open when you exit the MX, auto-close won't happen on the drivers door.

I exited my MX like I always do and left my drivers door open. I had opened the passenger door to get something out. I closed the passenger door and walked away. When I came back the drivers door was still open!

Watch out for strong winds when you expect auto-close to take care of the driver's door. It happened to me yesterday - auto-close only managed to close the door halfway, leaving it sticking out into the traffic lane. Fortunately I looked back and took care of the problem the old-fashioned way.

The adapter also fits perfectly in the cup holders underneath the slide-back center armrests. Oh, and there are cup holders underneath the slide-back center armrests in case you weren't aware!

IMHO: Avoid keeping the car key in your pocket. I learnt it the hard way today
We had a birthday party for our girls at a local horse ranch and I had to load and unload a lot of stuff and boy did I freak out myself and a bunch of folks helping me. It was a scene with various doors coming down on us with unintentional pressing of the buttons on the key fob in my pocket. No injuries or bumps, just some scared folks.
