When I was asking the Tesla rep about my collection on Friday, they stated that I could not choose an earlier date, as it wasn't arriving on the truck until the afternoon before.
They get through so many, that it will be a constant rotation of stock from day to day. Otherwise the collection sites physically would not have the room for all the cars.
Chap on here got told by the guy at Leicester space centre that they are getting 100 cars in every day!

My registration starts with AK* which is Peterborough regional code but I am in Southampton with collection in Southampton. It seems Tesla do not follow regional code unlike other manufacturers?

So my plate starts with LB, which looks to be a London-based plate.
Guessing my delivery is a week away because red doesn't seem like a common colour at all. Or I imagine my car is on the Nabucco.
