Hi all, just collected from bristol this morning 09.00View attachment 737510View attachment 737509View attachment 737511 😀 lucky it had 100% charge just plugged it in quicky at home also to check the gen 3 charger etc the app also activated with in 30 minutes. Im over the moon with it, i would suggest watching all the tutorial video in your tesla app charging etc as its fairly daunting when you first get in and im young and fairly good with technology but even im still learning its worth the wait no issues with the car picked up paint/gaps etc
That Tesla wall charger looks so nice... I think I'll get one of those if I ever move house or need to upgrade my Ohme Pro

My M3P is being home delivered on the 15th Dec - I just chatted with CS via online chat to see if collection was quicker than home delivery. Was told it isn't for my car so remaining the 15th but I asked when would I receive the registration and vin number and they text it to me straight away. Just mentioning in-case people are waiting for their details and are due to pick up their car soon, feels like a little chase to CS and you get it.
Thanks I just did this (01628 450 660) and they also confirmed that they'd got my address, and gave me my Number Plate!! :D

They then followed up with a text confirming VIN too.

TBH I very much doubt this. No car I've ever owned has had plastic rockers, it seems the rockers here are also one continuous panel as you move towards the rear of the vehicle. Would be very unusual for this to be plastic. The rear bumper of the car is often plastic, but this is a different panel to that.
My apologies, this diagram shows that panel as mild steel. Flabbergasted as most cars these days have a plastic side sill. As you say it is a single piece running into the rear quarter.

Just spoke to CS. Confirmation on mine that it was on Nabucco, docked this morning, for collection on 11 December at Bluewater which is still on schedule. (That is good given how obsessively I've been tracking that ship.) Also confirmation that I have, as I suspected, the unicorn - extended range battery (491km/305m) with the faster acceleration (I have an 'A' at position 8 in the VIN). I also have the original VIN confirmed and a reg number in an SMS now. So definitely worth a call to CS if you are still in the dark. GL location in reg number, corresponding to collection point not where I live.

So long folks I put down an order for Ioniq 5 today (Vin assigned) for Jan delivery, in hindsight I should have put the order for both in August.

I tried to push for a guaranteed delivery in Feb and couldn't get it and to be honest with all the messing around that's gone on I don't trust the Tesla business model and no good for my sanity

Enjoy yer cars all and the Irish Limerick Tesla Crew I'll be keeping an eye out for ye and attempt to run ye off the road in January ;)

Got a few insurance Quotes today, and Admiral was one of the cheapest (via confused.com). Then spoke to them to confirm a few details, including the fact that I wouldn't be the Registered Keeper/Owner of the car etc. Quote came in at £710, fully comp with legal protection.

Then the advisor I spoke to asked me about my second car, and created a multi-car quote, he was able to offer me the same price near enough, to what I am paying on my other car now (pro-rata). So, when my current insurance expires on my second car in June 2022, for 190 days of cover to take me to December 2022. By doing that the annual price for the Tesla came down to £546!!

I'll take that! 😀
