"I really can’t guess as the system is pretty automated and will notify us once the delivery date is estimated but at this stage I can’t see anything.
As you did order the Long Range variant and we had a large volume of customers order the Standard Range and Performance variants were ordered first and are being delivered now."

Look at that beautiful, beautiful container ship. Never thought I'd say that about a container ship.

I've been tracking it since it left California. Am I a little bit obsessed with the thought of getting a Model 3 finally in my hands? :p
I know exactly how you feel. Hopefully there is a bunch of cars on this one with our configs and we start seeing signs of VINs being allocated. I’ve been checking my page for a hidden vin 3 - 4 times a day (sometimes more!) and I’m getting sick of it. I just want to see some sign that my car is going to be delivered some time soon.

Debussy has docked in Port Botany this afternoon. Ship 8.

It’s ridiculous. Almost obsessive. I keep telling myself I’ll stop but then when no one is watching I sneak in another page refresh. I know its not good for me but I just cant resist. I’m way too old to be ship stalking, searching page source code and filling my time buying accessories that I’m not entirely sure I will actually need :)
Where’s the vodka????

@Vedaprime - do you have any ideas when the VINs get assigned? Are they after the ship docks or while the ship is still at sea? Trying to figure out what my chances are of getting a car from this ship if I still don't have a hidden VIN.

Both have occurred. Vin assignment have become unpredictable. Earliest at sea has been about 2 weeks before arrival. Other s have been assigned just after clearing the port in Sydney.

And there there are others with nothing until a delivery specialist callls.

The hidden vin helps setlle anxiety and provides some assurance something/anything is happening to the account.

F5 key needs replacing every 5000 presses. I went through 1 set.

Gotta love how non-standardized that is! Thanks for the info. Now that we have another ship in port at least some of us will be put out of our misery in the next couple of weeks.

I think we are all going to need new F5 keys after this year! :)

For those destroying their F5 keys (they have feelings too) use this.
Easy Auto Refresh

And if you REALLY want to know the nanosecond your Tesla page is updated and not have to stare at a webpage all day, use this.
huginn/huginn it takes a bit more setting up though but it saves those innocent F5 lives.

On the other hand I ordered my car on the 1st October so its going to be a looooong wait.

So you are saying that it’s unlikely vins would be assigned back as the vessel is being loaded?
For some reason some of the comments that Tesla staff have been making to people who have stopped by at delivery centres have made it sound like vins get assigned at the other end.
But if it’s over here, at the other end of the 1 month journey, that’s good! Maybe Debussy will bring us some good news...

Last update was an email reply from Tesla Melbourne on 9th Sept... “your order has not been assigned a VIN yet therefore we will not be able to give you a concrete ETA for delivery just yet.”

One thing I've noticed; the ordering website is no longer showing an est. delivery month? It did say October until a few days ago. My guess is too many people are ordering new cars ATM expecting October to be the approx. month of delivery when in reality, October is not even remotely probable, possibly not even this year. Good to see they are finally removing the ridiculously unrealistic est. delivery month indicator from the website.

Annoyingly I did have a day two reservation and order, but couldn't get finance through Pepper, so went to a leasing company who created a new order.

I've send a couple emails following up my order but nothing. Macquarie hadn't had any luck obtaining an invoice yet either.

On the plus side, I've put together a python selenium webdriver script that checks for a vin every 10 minutes and emails me if one is found. My F5 key is safe
