Tesla colorizer not working on 2014 Model S

I just received 2022.20.8 also, and Car Colorizer shows in the release notes, but does not exist on the car. My main gripe is that when all of this started, not only is my car not the correct color on the screen anymore, but it's not consistent across all screens either. And on top of that...

No charging options in v11 (Legacy Model S/X)

Agreed... It should show both (like many other manufacturers do), but at least make the charge limit slider percentage based.
  3. JohnnyG

No charging options in v11 (Legacy Model S/X)

Yep! The phone mimics your car's settings (not the best approach, in my opinion). If you change it from 'miles' to 'percentage' in the car settings, it will switch to percentage in the app also.

Or just use the included free Tesla app. It shows the exact percentage charge limit.

    Passenger temp display in v11

I find it to be random... both when Split is on and off. Sometimes the passenger controls are there and sometimes not. I originally thought that they were using the weight sensor on the passenger seat to determine if a passenger was sitting there, and only displaying it while a passenger was...

No charging options in v11 (Legacy Model S/X)

Ditto... 2021.44.30.6 brought back a functional, albeit hideous, charging screen. This is definitely not an improvement over the original charging screen layout we had prior to v11.

TeslaWaze updates (was: TeslaWaze is Done!)

As others noted, this bug is affected other websites that utilize location. I use Radar Alerts (ev-radar.com) and it stopped working a few weeks ago. I didn't take notice to which update broke it.

The .48* updates haver broken TACC

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth.... But I'm assuming once again that they did not mention it in the release notes? This is a major change in behavior of a feature that affects safety. grrr......

Range question - probably been done to death

There's been a ton of real-world testing with this. You'll be quicker to leave with a 90% charge. Drive as fast as possible. Then charge at that supercharger which is 200 miles away. You'll arrive with roughly 20%, which is optimal for achieving maximum charge rate. The larger diameter...

2nd run of camera switch that show a front image on the touch screen

The only way that would be possible, would be to mount the camera on the side of your vehicle, behind the front wheel. You could possibly mount it to the underside of your side mirror.

    V3 Supercharger Revealed 250kW

@FlatSix911 , @ucmndd , @dark cloud RE: Credit for charts... My apologies, truly. When I found those charts floating around on fb, there was no reference to source nor credit to originator. I thought they could still be useful for this conversation, so I grabbed them and shared them here.

    V3 Supercharger Revealed 250kW

One more thing to keep in mind... Those that have been around a while will remember that: Tesla explicitly stated the stations could be throttled, depending on local requirements. This can be caused by many different circumstances (demand, infrastructure limitations, weather, etc), and could...

    Remote S shows 97.1 kWh on S100D?

Do you know which parameter Remote S is pulling? Nominal Full Pack, or Usable Full Pack? Nominal Full Pack would be 102kWh Usable Full Pack would be 98kWh Assuming it's pulling Usable Full Pack, you're right within tolerances. Also, this figure can fluctuate quite a bit when below 95%.

    V3 Supercharger Revealed 250kW

I see the article referencing the UK ASA claiming they discovered a secret. And we've all read the announcements that Tesla is going to bump the V2 to 145kW. I'm referencing your chart stating that the V2 had already been revised to a design spec of 145kW. I'm just curious what the solid...

    V3 Supercharger Revealed 250kW

The latest V2 cabinets I've seen still have the following specs: Output Voltage: 50-410 VDC Output Current: 330 A Continuous What's even more interesting to me, is the spec limits on the monolith cables at each stall: Rated Voltage: 410 VDC Rated Current: 210 A Continuous Rated Current: 270 A @...

    V3 Supercharger Revealed 250kW

Do you have any evidentiary data on this? All of the V2 chargers installed in this area in the past 4 - 12 months are spec labelled as max 135kW. I've not seen anything documented anywhere that they revised the design of the V2 to increase the output current.

    Loaner program being eliminated?

Hi @whitex ! :D That's not exactly what I meant by which market you're in... Here in the midwest (to be real specific, Ohio), we've never had an issue getting loaners if we've wanted them (myself and other colleagues included). About the worse case I've ever ran into was one time having to...

    Loaner program being eliminated?

I didn't read all the new messages since @dmz111 (brand new member, first post is to revive a dead thread that isn't true) posted, but I am here to say that the loaner program was not removed. I do understand that in some markets, it is next to impossible to get a loaner, however Tesla still...

    Used P90D’s with ludicrous?

Your 11/15 car most likely came with the Rev1 pack. Hopefully, and most likely, your 90 pack is being replaced with the Rev3 90 pack, which is a much better unit. If you have Ludicrous, you'll see a significant difference. Although, if you think the 75D feels faster to you, than you're going...

2017 Chademo Tesla Adapter Not Working With Charging Stations

I'm not sure I grasp what your point is here??? Especially from an issue that was a year and a half ago.... I posted no less than 8 messages in this particular thread, stating that the CHAdeMO adapter is firmware updatable, and that you should bring it into the Service Center for them to...

2nd run of camera switch that show a front image on the touch screen

    Sentry Mode

Here's a couple quotes from the thread when the Dashcam was announced..... This is in reference to images taken from the HW2.0 car cameras that they tried to clean-up as best as possible to make somewhat viewable by the human eye.

You are correct, unfortunately.... What I have stated is fact, based on actual hands-on research by some of the most brilliant minds here on TMC. I have reposted their work before in other threads here on TMC. If you search in the technical threads here on TMC, you'll find all of this...

Your pessimistic side is correct, and I was surprised not to find it mentioned anywhere in this thread yet... The cameras are different between AP2 and AP2.5. That is why the Dashcam and Sentry do not exist for pre-AP2.5 cars. The cameras were never intended for human viewing when they...

    Max Charge 92%

Turning on the cabin heat won't do you any good. Turning on the cabin heater does not automatically turn on the battery heater. The BMS chooses this when to engage it. If the cells average temp is over ~50°F, the battery heater will not engage unless you are connected to a Level 3 charger...

The .48* updates haver broken TACC

To be honest, and technical, it does...... If I have the TACC set to 65, and after taking over the steering it decides to change my TACC setting to a lower value which I am not aware of, that is indeed dropping you down. I didn't change this setting, *it* did.

The .48* updates haver broken TACC

The real fix here is to notify your customers when you make a drastic change to a safety system. I think that most all of us here would prefer it disengage the whole system, as opposed to this new janky behavior. At least that would be consistent. Changing a parameter that I have set, to a...

The .48* updates haver broken TACC

  37. JohnnyG

The .48* updates haver broken TACC

We're talking specifically about TACC here. It was not created by a neural net and it has been around and operating under the same set of rules for years. I truly don't find it delusional to expect a simple system (TACC) to "just work", when it has been functioning exactly the same, and...

    Software Update 2018.48.x

This was an issue back a couple years ago for myself, but it was finally resolved. The charge limit is a local function, and it doesn't need to reach the mothership. What you're seeing is separation of duties. The MCU controls the user configurable parameters of charging. The BMS handles the...

I used to have a warning ding (mostly on exit, but sometimes on entrance) that I couldn't figure out, and never caught the message on the screen because it went away so fast. I started to notice a trend, however. It seemed to be more prevalent when I was wearing certain shorts or pants...

    Software Update 2018.48.x

@AustinP is correct (at least here in the USA), although his wording may be confusing. He is referring to pulling the AP stalk back, and holding it there for a full second or two. I think @conman might be referring to just a normal tap back of the AP stalk. In the USA, if the car hasn't...

Anyway to turn the inside completely dark at night?

Sadly... I agree... Oddly enough, it's looking like they don't want us to have the screen off; I can't make any sense of it. They deliberately made it so that you can't clean the screen while not in [P]ark anymore. The Fireplace won't enable unless in [P]ark. I can understand not allowing...

Original Split Screen Is Working In V9

I was able to get our old beloved Split Screen to work with V9 (sorta...). So far, it only works with maps and the doodle app. I honestly am not expecting to get it to work with anything else, as the rest are all foreground layers, however maps and doodle are fullscreen background.

Anyway to turn the inside completely dark at night?

@Eevee , what firmware version are you on? I want to note that the Screen Cleaning Mode is no longer an option. Somewhere in the past few firmware revisions (probably since V9), it has been disabled unless the car is in [P]ark. This makes absolutely no sense to me as to why they would do this...
