Tesla new wall connector, manual/config problem?

For setting the dip switches, the wall connector came with both set to up and said this was the "normal" position. (I'm located in CA, USA - single phase power). They didn't specify what "normal" was, but with position 1 set to down its 240v line to line. Seems to work now with that first...

Adding additional hypothetical HPWC at Superchargers....

Reading about the congestion at some superchargers in California on high travel days got me thinking... Obviously installing HPWC's is far cheaper then supercharger cabinets, but at the same time, the charging is much (much) slower. Tesla has standardized on the single charger that for most is...

Supercharger Stations Needed in the Future?

I've heard Tesla say that they will not need a large number of superchargers because most people will charge up at home. This is partially true. As Tesla's become more common, eventually there will be increasing numbers of used Tesla's for sale. Since electric vehicles should last longer there...

    Slow supercharging in hot weather?

its been quite hot in California the last week or so. Still 100F outside at 8:30pm. Supercharging starts out very fast at 120kw the. Very quickly drops to 36kw. Repluging raises back to 60kw then drops to 36kw again. Is this due to pack temperature?

Let's Play "Find the Code Violations"

I'm not an electrician, but this video of a 240V outlet install seems to have several code violations: The one that jumps out at me is the fact the he didn't use an outlet box and installed it straight-into the drywall. That can't be legal, can it? I'm going to bet that there are 3 or 4...

I'm not sure if Tesla would use this information to decide where to put future Superchargers in Oregon but let's see if we can get a poll going on locations that you would use. Lockout on Tesla Wall Connector?

I live in a city and will be installing my Wall Connector outside in a publicly-accessible space. Surprised auto perpendicular parking isn't available at SuperChargers

(Scenario where no other cars are adjacent to an available spot) I kind of assumed this would have been a "no brainer" for Tesla. Since most SuperChargers require a back in perpendicular parking, wish it were automatic process.
