Placing an EVSE on my commercial property

    Is this outlet correct?

My electrician just arrived at my house to install the NEMA 14-50 outlet in the garage. I took a peek at the outlet he brought and wanted to make sure this is a good/right/legit one. Can anyone here confirm please? It's a Leviton NEMA 14-50R, and looks just like this...

EV charging stations that use renewable energy

Hello. I'm about to get my first electric car, MS 60, this week and was wondering if anyone has a list of charging stations that use renewable energy. I had a discussion at work with some coworkers about reducing carbon footprint. And one of the things that came up was even though we drive...

How does high temp impact charging eletric cars? (If at all)

I live in the South (North Carolina) and during the summer my two car garage can reach as high as 92 degrees. Out of curiosity, is there a concern charging an electric car within that temperature range?

Is there (still?) a tax credit if you install 14-50 charger in your home?

I read that this might have ended, but does anyone know if there is a tax credit if you were to install a 14-50 charger outlet in your home? I will be installing two 14-50 outlets in my garage from my fuse box in the basement, which will cost around $2300 and was wondering if anyone got a tax...

Apple Maps has added some EV charging networks including Superchargers

Apparently Apple has added Tesla Superchargers to Apple Maps. You can also search "ev chargers" and they have at least ChargePoint, EVgo, Blink and SemaConnect networks. Apparently they pull pictures from Yelp for those sites.

    How to build a 30 Amp Extension Cord for 24 A, 240 V charging

I plan to make a 30A extension cord for temporary charging at vacation rentals. I most likely will go with 50 foot length, but I may need 75 or 100 feet. On one end I will use an L6-30P, and I will make adapters for the various 30 and 50 Amp outlets to an L6-30R. On the other end I will use a...

I already have an RV plug installed at the house. Do I still need to get a new outlet installed or can I just get an adapter or something? Getting my model x in October. I didn't get the high amp upgrade.

    Supercharger replica for your garage

Should Tesla add HPWCs to Supercharger locations?

If this poll already exists please forgive me  I totally understand why Tesla would have been hesitant to add HPWCs initially... unless I'm mistaken the Superchargers use 480v and HPWCs used 240v so you would have needed an additional transformer to power the HPWCs. Now that HPWCs...

Supercharger Stations Needed in the Future?

I've heard Tesla say that they will not need a large number of superchargers because most people will charge up at home. This is partially true.
