It looks like there are several hundred Model X on the pier too - they won't be coming to the EU and so we now know that at least one ship will be heading elsewhere. My guess is that will be the VIKING DESTINY.
The DONINGTON is the next ship inbound and she is huge and I'm hopeful she will be EU bound although there is nothing to support that at the moment.

Why won't the X's be EU bound?

If you are waiting for MODEL S or Model X

Although Model S and Model X are made in the same factory as the Model 3 their delivery journey to you is markedly different.

Both Model S and X are shipped partly assembled in containers (3 to a container).

They are moved by road from the factory to the Oakland Joint Intermodal Terminal where they are loaded on to a train.

The train then takes about 9 days to travel to Houston. (actually BNSF Pearland).

The containers are then moved by road to the dock at Barbers Cut where they are then loaded on to a scheduled container ship that eventually arrives 15 days later in Rotterdam (Note: Although the ships have a scheduled stop in Antwerp your containers are unloaded in Rotterdam).

There the containers are moved by road (or barge) to Tilburg in Holland. Your car is removed from the container and then joins a mini production line where it is reassembled. It is then moved to Zeebrugge and shipped to Southampton.

As can be seen, all this takes time.

Finding your car in this complex logistics chain is difficult but there is a man who can. @Vedaprime is the specialist in this area. You can find him here but he normally resides on Twitter.

Some pictures doing the rounds today about the refreshed M3, but maybe most notably for this thread the manufacturing sticker says date 8th of October and looks like it's heading to a RHD country in Asia, so if these go to the Viking Japan could be a probable destination?
Yes It looks like this car is heading for Japan, so VIKING DESTINY could be heading there.
There are other photos doing the rounds of LHD chrome deleted cars with EU style plates at Fremont too.

Looking back at previous shipping forecasts. Would we expect vehicles made this week (with 2021 vins) to arrive in the UK in Nov/Dec?

Assuming that Tesla wouldn’t ship a mix of old and new designs to the UK?
It's been a very slow start to this quarter quite frankly and I was expecting to see more activity at Pier 80 by now.
It could be that we are waiting for the refreshed models. I'm not sure that the cars on the dock at the moment are all refreshed so they could be destined elsewhere.
At the moment I have pencilled in the 1st EU ship to arrive around 8 Nov.

Another interesting thing from the photos is the VIN - it's showing 2021 model year - the letter M in the VIN.

Yes. Noticed that too. The car is almost certainly heading to Australia/New Zealand rather than Japan. I know these exact stickers well - I've seen hundreds of them with my own eyes. (Asia/Pacific on left of sticker). The time and place match cars going to the Oakland ships to the South Pacific. Model 3 Sales to Japan are extremely small. I'll see the vin from the ships in a couple of weeks.

Any Teslas on Salome? It docked at Newark where other Tesla ships docked last quarter, and is on its way to Zeebrugge
Normally I would say it would be very unlikely however this quarter is off to such an apparent slow start, it can't be discounted completely.
The ship isn't chartered, it's been long scheduled, and she didn't spend much time loading (just 12 hours or so).
It may be worth keeping an eye on (see where she docks in Zeebrugge) but it's a bit of a long shot quite frankly.

I'm slightly concerned to note that DONINGTON is still waiting off the coast to unload in Portland. She's been waiting a couple of days now for the GRAND PEARL to depart. I'm expecting DONINGTON to arrive at Pier 80 on Tuesday evening.
The next to load after her will be RCC ANTWERP on Friday.
After that there are a number of possibles and looking at the list I posted last week I have now ruled out GLOVIS SAFETY and CRYSTAL RAY and note that TRITON ACE and GRAND DOLPHIN are looking very strong contenders.
ASIAN GLORY remains possible for a November call as does GLOVIS CROWN and SILVER RAY.

EDIT: Sorry forgot to add GLOVIS SUPERIOR to November list. Looking like a very likely candidate.
