Any mods to make the M3P faster?

So there aren't any mods at all for these other than lighter wheels?

Not to "go faster" no. The only current "tunes" are boxes which trick lower trim teslas into thinking they are a different trim, like a SR+ being tricked to thinking its a LR RWD, or a LR AWD being tricked to think its a P.

There is also a box that can turn off some of the traction control stuff, but "go faster" for a P? No.

Oh they definitely will release a "Plaid" type of Model 3. The technology is already there and it will be even cheaper to manufacture than the existing 3P.

4680 batteries will effectively eliminate the discharge current limitations and the carbon wrapped Model S rotor greatly reduces the loss of power at high-speeds. Today's Model S Plaid is limited by 1990's battery technology so it may not be able to make full use of the motor's potential, but with 4680's and some careful thermal modeling/monitoring it's conceivable that the next gen Model 3P may be limited only by traction at any double-digit speed since they could easily allow for ~5 second bursts of extreme overcurrent.

That fiddly carbon rotor will add hundreds of dollars to the production cost of course, but the 4680's (and gigacastings) will reduce the cost by thousands. Not that we'll see those savings ourselves, just that it's a compelling product for Tesla to produce, especially now that even a clunky EV-converted BMW can easily beat a half-charged 3P.
