Any recent CA owners apply for the $2,500 CVRP rebate?

Where do we apply for the CA rebate? It will be a nice addition to the Federal Tax Credit ($7500) and the $25000 Business Tax Deduction (net @ $8500). Thanks for the help.

It's the purchase date that matters, not the application date. With Tesla, it's the date of registration. They used to use the order date, but there is a cutoff when they went to registration date.

Got this email earlier today:

The Clean Vehicle Rebate Project is glad to inform you that your rebate, which was placed on a waitlist due to the exhaustion of CVRP funds earlier this year, will be paid in the coming months. New funding was approved for CVRP in September 2016, and we expect to receive funds and begin issuing rebate checks in December 2016. Your rebate will be paid as soon as possible after funds are available, and you will receive an email notification when we mail your check.

FYI I got my X on June 7....but didn't apply until 1 day after they ran out of money. So I was pretty close to the top of the waiting list, and I got my 2500 about 10 days ago.

You would need:

1. A scanned copy of the submitted application signed by the vehicle purchaser, lessee or authorized representative.
2. Proof of temporary or permanent vehicle registration for the vehicle listed in the application. The applicant’s name must be on the registration, and the registration must be current (not expired).
3. A complete copy of the sales or lease contract. A complete contract is executed and signed. It includes an itemization of credits, discounts, and incentives received, if applicable, and all information needed to process the application.

Your guess would be as good as mine. When I called the customer service line I spoke with a nice person who seemed knowledgeable. Perhaps call and speak with them.

More information from the CSE website related to the income limits...Don't forget that the income number they want to know is Line 22 on IRS form 1040 (more info below), which includes pre-tax exclusions from income such as 401K, etc. There is also a $204K limit associated with head-of-household filers, which caught my attention as well (for participants that are not filing jointly)...
