Anyone received delivery of 2019 'Raven' Refresh?

I had read reports that new half shafts had previously been introduced for S/X to address the ride height induced wear on the CV joints.

New half shaft part numbers on Raven are likely due to the new drive unit (mating flange/ spline/ and or length) and hub bearings (flange/ spine).

Also, weren't the rear shafts the ones taking the brunt of the wear?
Never had a problem with the rear. Front gets more combined angle taking steering into account.

Finally delivered and it's beautiful! SADLY, no coffee mugs, key chains, pens, umbrellas, or swag! What Gives Tesla?! We drop 100K and you won't even throw us a mug anymore?

It was also interesting, since I took home delivery they didn't have a huge red bow, like when I went to the delivery center to pick up my Model S. (However I heard they stopped doing that?)

Haven't had a chance to take her for a spin yet - and the car needs a software update pushed to get the FSD and latest firmware (currently on 2019.7.106). You would think that's something on their checklist - push FSD and latest software if ordered and available. Luckily it does have the basic Autopilot already activated.

Spoke to the service center and they are pushing the update today (should be expected in the next few hours - fingers crossed).

Will get pics and some post drive updates soon...

Also, how does [non-long-distance hauler] home delivery work? I picked up my 3 at the service center but it's looking like home delivery might be their preference for this car. Do they just show up, you sign/look at the car, and they take off either in your trade or an Uber or something?

Same here. Ordered MX a month ago, west coast us, black interior. No VIN or delivery date yet.
Update for me: Ordered and confirmed 4/24/19
Called in yesterday morning and asked what the deal was. They said the car just rolled off the production floor and is on a truck or in the lot in Fremont. They said I could pay now and magically the link to pay appeared. I paid in full yesterday afternoon, and since then no word from anyone. Never had a delivery specialist call ever. No VIN, still just a reservation number.

They pushed the FSD out to my car! Still on the same 2019.7.106 but at least I have Navigate on Autopilot now (with confirmation) and DashCam. Hoping to get a software update soon for Sentry Mode.

Exterior:
  • Nothing has changed except for the badging. I have the Long Range Model X, so my badge just says 'Dual Motor'. Curious how they will differentiate the Standard Range since it also has dual motors. Maybe they won't make any differentiation outside of Performance/Ludicrous.
  • I noticed what appears to be an ultrasonic sensor on the roof, in the glass - between the two falcon wing doors. Can anyone confirm?
  • They drilled the front plate bracket!!! Wish they would have used the double stick method they did on the S. Anyone know of patch options?
  • 22" black onyx rims came on Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires.

Interior:
  • I came from a 2016 Model S, so the interior of the Model X is an upgrade for me - even if there haven't been any changes. The center console having the wood inlay is a lot nicer than the plastic that I used to have on the 2016 Model S.
  • No ventilated seats (but I don't have a Performance model to confirm they aren't available).
  • The 6 seat config is awesome. It's nice that the 3rd row has occupancy sensors so that when the 2nd row seat slides back, it allows extra space for the person's legs/feet.
  • It's nice that the top of the windshield and roof are UV/IR coated (at least per the delivery specialist) - and there was some drizzle, so we did see the red/orange reflectiveness from the glass.
    • Can anyone confirm the X has UV AND IR coating? Or Just UV?
    • Getting my car tinted next week - and now considering only doing the windshield and front side windows. Leaving the rear and FWD alone since they are so dark - doesn't seem like a lot of heat will get through.
  • Love how many USB ports there are in the car (5 total) as opposed to the 2 that were in my 2016 Model S.
  • I swapped out the two front door puddle lamps for the Tesla Logo lamps.

Navigate on Autopilot (with confirmation):
  • Definitely keeping the confirmation option on once I get the latest software. It's annoying how much the car wants to change lanes. I'd much prefer to just stick to the fast lane and/or HOV lane.
  • Clicking on the "tap to cancel" option on the nav clears the request - but only for about 2 seconds. Another lane change request pops up right after. They need to fix this to include a preset timeout period or something to silence lane change requests for XX amount of time.

My 2016 X has a sensor on the roof between the FWD. It's used to assess ceiling heights for the whole not running the doors into the ceiling thing indoors... :)

I haven't done anything to confirm the IR coating, but the message the it has it has been consistent - and I do feel the sun's heat more through the side window than the windshield.

Good to know about the sensor on the roof. Is that the only sensor the car uses to assess obstacles above the FWD? Or also the sensors in the doors as well?

The only ultrasonic sensors in the doors are in the lower panels - used to assess how close cars and people are on the side. So while I've never tested it, I'm pretty sure that single sensor in the roof is the only one used for how far up the FWD and Hatch go.

You do need to be careful in places that have unusual ceilings - like parking garages with the exposed beams that are a lot lower than the rest of the ceiling. I know a couple early owners came to grief when the sensors didn't understand that kind of ceiling.
