Hi trying to figure out the right plug to install for the future model Y. Using the mobile umc provided I understand it only supports single phase power. I’ve also read the onboard charger is limited to 15A. So does that mean there’s no point installing a 32A single phase plug?

The onboard charger can do 32A single phase or 16A three phase.

And there are several suppliers in Australia that can sell you a 32A "tail" for the UMC, usually with a 5-pin plug so you can plug it into a standard three-phase socket (there's lots of them on PlugShare) - so it's worth installing one of those (5-pin 32A) even if you only have single phase at home.

Congrats! How much charge do they come with? I have a couple of hundred k's to get home after pickup.

Tell your SA and ideally book a first thing in the morning collection, as those cars will normally be plugged in the night before.

Otherwise it's a good excuse to use a supercharger for the first time.

Nah, get an inflator and you don't have to worry about it! This also works a treat with kids blow up toys, air mattresses, etc. Worth it!
