You can do a monthly subscription for FSD after you take delivery of your car if you want to try it before buying it. The downside is that it cost more to add after you take delivery of your car.
The monthly subscription makes no financial sense unless you're leasing the car, the lump sum cost of FSD equals to approx 5 years of subscription, for the majority of us whose either paying cash upfront or financing with loan, the lump sum purchased FSD could have some if not hefty residual value to the car's 2nd hand value when being sold, especially in crazy days like now if you check the resale value of our cars, while the monthly subscription contribute 0 value in the same perspective.

Does FSD actually makes sense and worth your $ in Canada?
I know in the US they keep release these beta, are they doing the same?

I dont know if FSD will actually be available in Canada in next few years while I have this vehicle in my possession.
(8 ~ 10 years?)
I am not confident it will as I think FSD will either be all on or not available.
All on meaning every single car on the street needs to support some form of FSD.
Also I found quite funny how Elon stated FSD does not work in the city of Toronto because of street cars.

Did they not change the wording on adding FSD that if you selected it now, you could not make any more changes to your config?
That's what I thought as well. You can add it, but once you do that is it.....

If you look at the bright side, having FSD now is a future-proof investment where in traditional auto industry any feature purchased has no future-proof once it left the factory, and it sorta becomes outdated once similar feature is released on newer models, but Tesla has OTA to guarantee your investment and usability is up to date until one day your car's hardware has been outrun by the newest software requirement.

The downside is just the price point IMO, $12K for a software unlock is a tough pill to swallow for early adaptors, and prices are definitely be on a decline when these technology becomes a norm among mainstream cars, the majority of price we paid today are contribute to recoup its R&D investment and early access privilege. If you're like me who simply can't justify the current price, then wait a while until it becomes cheaper in a long run.

I hoped we have two level of FSD like in Europe

It make more sense for Canadian to have enhanced autopilot option

Ok here’s some initial exterior pics :) stock 255/275 and no window tint or decal colour change as yet :)

Ok guys…here’s some pics of the car with 295/35/21 and 275/35/21. Definately took the stretched look right out of the tires and way better protection for rims. The tire shop owner was surprised at teslas oem choice and said min 265/285 was optimal for these rim widths.

Anyway looks better and the tires look properly proportioned imo :)

curious how your range will be affected.
unsprung weight rule of thumb is ~ 4 to 1 in terms of weight
how heavier/lighter are the new tires compared to the stock ones ?

it looks awesome

one note though for the rear tire:
there original tires 275/35R21 total diameter is 28"
if you used 295/35R21 total diameter is 29"

you probably should have used 295/30R21 which also has 28"

for the front 255/35R21 = 275/35R21 = 28" so no issue there

so you might need to check not to screw the balance between front rotation and rear rotation for the dual motor

Checked the specs precisely before this decision lol.

255 - 28.03
275 - 28.58
Diff .55 between front to rear OEM

275 - 28.58
295 - 29.13
Diff is .55 between front to rear.

Both front and rear went up the exact same proportion. No issues whatsoever.
The added .55 on both front and back also made the ride a slight bit bitter :)

1.5lbs for the extra 295’s.
And 1.5” for the 275 on fronts.
Total 1.5lbs added weight per wheel/tire.

I took out my 15lb mobile charger and voila. Lol. I know unsprung is different but not doing any slalom in this car. My M3 LR boost is the handler here and drives way Lighter than this crossover. I love the MYP for what it is but it’s not for cornering vs the M3 :)

Now If I could find a way to get wider fender flares of the same matte plastic material…golden! The new MX is basically a Fkry by Tesla in widening perception. The S actually got wider fenders…the X did not and instead for wiser matte plastic flares.

That’s all MYP needs to give it a more aggressive look!

Anyone hear of any way to do this or anyone made a wider matte black plastic flare to replace the oem?
