What state of charge have the cars been at during delivery? I'm planning to roadtrip mine straight from the delivery center. Although it is only a 1.5hr trip so I don't need a full charge. Just something decent like 60-80%.
When I picked up the M3LR in August they had it at 90% I think. Not sure if that's because they knew based on my D/L that I had a 1400km drive home or if thats just the norm for them. If its not up there just ask them to charge it while you go through the paperwork, etc. I'm assuming they've got a row of superchargers sitting there. About an hour before my scheduled pickup I get a message from the Tesla App that a car was added and at that point you could already see the charge state and everything about the vehicle.

Thanks for the intel.
At my delivery center it is just a temporary setup while they construct a proper service/delivery center. AFAIK there are no superchargers there. I assume they likely have some wall connectors or destination chargers somewhere but I don't recall seeing them on the outer walls. Maybe in the service bay??
I'll message my SA later this week to see if he can charge it to 90.

"Almost" Delivery Day report:

OD: 05/11
Original EDD: Nov-Feb 2023
Delivery Day: Oct 24
Original VIN: NF573

I was able to see and inspect the model Y yesterday, before today's delivery appointment. Super nice of staff to bring it out for me to see. A handful of panel alignment adjustments to be made. However, 2 dings discovered! Advisor said they’d need to bring in dent specialist to fix 2 dings.

I decided to decline this vehicle and put the delivery on hold until my original EDD range (Nov - Feb). Ideally, I'll get matched up with a 2023 without USS, with matrix lights. I'm in no rush.

For reference, this 2022 had USS, front mud flaps, new door trim, no matrix & no parcel shelf.

It does amaze me that when they inspect the vehicles as they arrive that they wouldn't observe the 2 dings and get them repaired - why is it on the customer to decline the vehicle based on the shape of delivery or to accept a dinged up vehicle and have to bring it in for a dent specialist to fix it.

Hello peeps, late to the party but here is my timeline so far -
MYLR with induction wheel
OD: 04/24
Original EDD: Dec-Feb 2023
Current EDD: Nov 6-13
No VIN yet from my app
Check if a Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement showed up in the documents section of your account online. That is the only place I found my VIN once I had a one week EDD. VIN didn't show in my app or on my account page until I'd scheduled my delivery date. I'm sure with a one week EDD you must have a VIN assigned.

Thanks for the info. Just checked I don’t see the agreement in my account as of now. Will keep an eye on it

need some inputs on the below;

I’m trading my 2022 M3 LR MSM under 5k km for model y and getting below options in the same price

2022 model Y LR MSM updated door trims, matrix and 20 wheels 53km

2022 model Y performance 2930km white

Which is better value for money, comfort and better resale value.

LR - coming to a recession folks won't be able to pay premium for performance

They finally messaged me to schedule for the delivery. And with my luck, the only option is this Saturday but we will be out of town for my kid’s hockey games from Friday to Sunday. How should I approach to them to change the date? Text them or call the local centre.
Thanks in advance.

I had a similar issue with my delivery (also in Edmonton). The SA called me on a Thursday to arrange delivery for the upcoming Saturday/Sunday. Of course I was out of province until the Monday night, but since that was within three business days (according to my purchase agreement) he was able to book me in for pickup on Tuesday (they are closed on Mondays).

In terms of contacting them; I would try and either call or text your SA directly; they should be able to sort something out for you. If you are close to the SC a quick visit could be even better.

Great. Thanks for the input. I have already contacted them and they r good to move me to a Tuesday. I am still waiting for my insurance to call me back. Last time I called them for a quote they couldn’t identity the VIN (it’s 2023 PF585).

I had the same issue with my vin. I have a delivery day of nov 2 and only yesterday was my insurance company able to identify the vin. Keep bothering your insurance company to update their database.

My agent will contact me today and hopefully she will be able to input the VIN into their system. I have already told her that I need to upload the proof of insurance in advance.

If it helps I was able to just bring in my insurance the day of the pick up and show them as I didn't get mine until last minute. I kept getting the email reminder to upload but I just ignored it.

Good luck!
