I just put in an order for a White Model Y Performance with Black interior and tow package

My MYP arrived yesterday and we are taking delivery on March 4. It’s then going straight to PPF shop and waiting for it’s appointment on March 9 so we won’t get it back until March 11. We’re 3 hours away from SC/PPF shop so don’t want to drive it home and risk rock chips. We didn't get any advance notice on arrival date so we couldn’t book PPF appointment sooner unfortunately.

We took delivery of our MYP on Saturday, March 4 and it was near perfect. Only spotted a little scuff where the rear bumper meets the body on the passenger side. We had it for about an hour and then dropped it off to get full satin PPF before driving 3 hours home. It’s now ready for pickup so we’re heading back to “the city” tonight and will pick it up in the morning

Here it is in all its shiny glory.

I wonder why lower mainland orders are being pushed back as late as june....Most others being pushed are going to April/May dates, at lease in the US. Given new orders still say delivery is April to June something sure does not line up.

This will no doubt hurt trade in value based on more kms and market starting to tilt to “normal “. Based on my M3 order this date will swing a few more times.

We have the same configuration, my guess is 1) $$$: Tesla could make more money on those add-ons and performance models 2)Logistics: Tesla has delivery target each quarter and BC is not near any mega-factories....maybe they want to give cars to order nearby first to meet the target...

I'll throw some data in from two friends who have ordered MYLR recently and are still awaiting delivery....
Both are located on V. Island BC. Delivery at Victoria.

1) MYLR MSM/Black/19s (no other options)....changed from 19-20s Feb 28th
OD: 02/05
EDD #1: 04/29-06/10
02/28: Switch 19 to 20s
EDD #2(03/05): 03/13-03/31
No VIN yet

2) MYLR, DBM/Black/19(no options)

Deliveries per quarter makes a lot of sense. The ODD of April to June is clearly 2nd quarter estimate. The extras always put you at the front of the line. I ordered my model 3 with white interior last Feb and it arrived in May…. Matrix headlight shortage at the time. I’m still bitter about that. The wife ordered black paint , 20”s and a tow hitch so if the options theory is true she should get her Y in a decent time frame.
