And even the cars that are listed in inventory are still in-transit, so no guarantee that I'd get one that's been offloaded already.
Plus my wife already said no to upgrading to the MYP

I'm going to give it some thought tonight, talk to the wife.
If she gives the go-ahead, I'll call Tesla tomorrow. But $6300 is no small amount - especially when we're talking about a firmer ride and less range. I'm not even sure if I can justify it to myself, let alone her.
I wish I could get a MYP but I just can't stomach giving up the free 5000$. So instead I hoped for a performance rear motor so I could ghost upgrade but had no luck there.
People in the USA are so fkin lucky they get to have MYP's and tax credits and all the cool customization options (7 seater, white interior etc) and don't have to worry about port strikes.
They really f**ked Canada over.
On another note my thing shows July 18-31, but today is July 18 and its not ready so i have my doubts it will arrive today.

No it has resumed, after ILWU failed to ratify the deal. Resumed 4:30pm PST today.

Yeah , it's a big disincentive to get the performance one, too hard for me to turn down what is effectively a 5k cheque. Even tho i realllly reaaaaallly want the MYPIt’s actually around $10K when you remove $5000 tax credit and additional $6K + Tax
Hopefully they are applying a blanket discount to all orders in that time frame, and we'll get to keep it at sale close.
