@Elon, give us the 411We need an insider from each factory. This thing is getting out of hands
So, what happens if the vehicle is in unacceptable condition at the time of delivery? Is the Texas buyer stuck with it or can the deal be "unwound"?Texas does not allow direct sales. If you are not going to pay for it before you see it, I dont think you will be buying a new one. Unless something has changed very recently, for states they cant sell in, Tesla sells you the car in CA, then delivers your already purchased car to you.
The texas buyer is stuck, as they already own the car. Tesla doesnt unwind deals as a rule, just like other dealers dont. Perhaps you want to engage with other texas buyers in the texas subforum to get clarification of details, but Texas does not allow direct sales of vehicles by manufacturers (protecting the dealer lobby). So, what happens if the vehicle is in unacceptable condition at the time of delivery? This is not a Tesla thing, its a Texas law thing.
I was thinking it would be pretty ironic if my March delivered MYLR includes HW4 equipment and upgraded motor as well as qualifies for the full IRA tax credit. Or maybe I'll just join the 'whine-of-the-month club'.Which, if that happens and march / april deliveries start to see HW4, is absolutely, positively, 100% going to happen. I have no idea on HW4 timelines, and frankly dont really care, but if the above happens, people will flock here to "talk" about it.

And i have seen that we need to have our name/RN on the check? No, you have to complete payment prior as they don't have license in Texas. If it's check then you need through courier one day before and take pics and show it to them

What type of use would justify buying a car over 60k?i didnt want to spend over 60k with taxes and fees on what will mostly be a commuter/work car for myself lol
ODD 1/20I think just the massive amount of orders placed 1/13 - 1/16... I think most the ones getting pushed are on or after 1/16?

i use BofA and looks like it does. If they do plaid, then i can wait until after inspection and then press "pay"?make sure your bank does the plaid payment system. my credit union said they dont do that. would either have to do wire transfer or cashiers check
Same goes for other states. Your neighbor Oklahoma is the same. Unless I’m mistaken you still have to accept delivery and could get your money back.If that's accurate, then I won't be buying a Tesla - I won't buy a car that I've never seen.
Thank you!!Glad to see another Minnesotan here! We have a few others one of them already took delivery.
You are welcome to check out another thread here.
Minnesota Waiting Room
Were you trying to get the car in before the EV tax credit rules change? Yes. Also with current price trends, MYP locked in at 57k base price is fantastic.teslamotorsclub.com
Does the payment through Plaid count as direct sales? If not, then couldn’t you inspect the car, then simply pay through Plaid? The texas buyer is stuck, as they already own the car.
