So I missed the cup holders and usb plugs by less than two weeks. Oh well. I guess if you wait to order on hoping it will have some minor convienience additions you will never order and not have the joys of the future now.

Yep, Iv'e been waiting for years. I think it will be worth the wait if I ever stop waiting. Although I should have bought the 40kWh, in hind sight, even though I was unemployed and it didn't have rear cup holders. Oh well.

@PatrickCP, same exact boat, man. I'd love the cupholders (actually, would prefer the rear USB more) but I love having a magical wonder boat of myth and joy way more. Given how crazy I was during production, waiting another two weeks may well have killed me.

So does the Model S Integrated Center Console in the Tesla store available for retrofit now contain the USB's as well?

When I received mine two months ago, it did not have USB ports, you will have to call Tesla Gear to find out what the details are now.

FYI, I picked up today and I indeed had the rear cup holders and USB Ports!
The product page in the Tesla Shop states that console has "USB/power-cord pass-through". I interpret that to mean that it is designed to allow access to the existing USB ports.

I interpret that as pass through for the front USB ports into the front console. The photo in the online store does not show USB ports in the back by the cup holders. But if it is an outdated photo, I would like to know the new information.

Right. I don't care that much, but my kids (backseat clients) were thrilled.
Since today is the Chevy Bolt EPA range reveal day, I thought I'd point out how generous Tesla is throwing in 2 rear USB ports for free. For the Chevy Bolt two rear USB ports are part of the optional Infotainment Package (only available with the Premier Trim, no go with the base LT Trim)

Dang it! I just missed this by less than a month... Oh well. At least it wasn't AP 2.0 hardware that I missed. Although, not having rear cupholders makes it easier to tell passengers that they can't bring drinks in my car lol

It doesn't look like it. I will know for sure next week since I already ordered it and am having it installed Tues. I can confirm once I get the car back.

Quick question for the lucky new owners with the rear cupholder: does it look like the panel that holds the cupholder is a contiguous piece with the rest of the console? In the prior version, the back piece under the heating vents (where your cupholders are now) is just a snapped in flat plastic panel. It would be amazing if the new cupholders are designed as a part that can mount the same way. Take a careful look for a seam that runs down the length of the rear panel!
I'm still hoping the cupholder part is retrofittable to newer cars (and those that just got the new integrated center console installed in older cars).
