Isn't the legacy S/X 99% of all S/X ever delivered?
Yes. But Tesla says that they aren't getting the feature, even if updated to MCU2. (Which makes no sense, as they can display all three rear facing cameras at once right? So why can't it display just one of them with the turn signal?)
Of course it could be an error in their feature chart; which we won't know for sure until they start rolling the update out to the legacy vehicles. (Rumored to start today.)

How accurate is WholeMarsBlog? Like, how do they know the vertical format was already created and the timing on software releases?
That is one feature I have already turned off on my 3 and I didn’t even bother trying it at night when the blinker interferes. The “cartoon” cars on the screen are much easier to view, although admittedly their rendering is a little inconsistent and late.
Good question. They are very successful in attracting Musk’s tweets but I didn’t see a tweet from him to them on that subject.
Confirming that Tesla still has not fixed the "detect-vehicle-config" issue as of 2021.44.6.
This does not leave me hopeful that anyone at Tesla actually has any real plan for getting us in the FSD beta... Hope I'm wrong though!

I’m happy to report after 1 appointment reschedule last month due to part shortages, I just dropped off my car for the new appointment and they have the parts. I confirmed they have the -B triple camera to install, and interestingly enough, they said they’re replacing ALL my cameras (tho the estimate doesn’t list the rear camera). Weird, but I’ll take them.

This thread helped me realize that my X wasn’t alone in not receiving the Christmas Update (forget about FSD Beta…I’m in camera purgatory). Appreciate all the comments and background over the last several pages.

Oh neat. Looks like the rollout of the same non-FSD holiday version started going to "legacy" S/X a few hours ago. Here's TeslaFi showing a bunch of vehicle years whereas earlier it only showed entries for 2021/2022 previously:

Not really sure why these portrait S/X weren't included in the main holiday rollout, but good to see it happening without needing a new version and QA. Hopefully that also means the existing 2021.44.25.6 FSD Beta 10.8 will be able to go to these vehicle configs now including camera retrofits.
So far no portraits detected on TeslaFi (currently 2022 S shows 3, 2021 S 42 2021 and 0 X for any year). TeslaFi.com Firmware Tracker 2021.44.25.6 1823f6d
just installed 44.25 - it's v11 with new UI. I got waypoints and improved autopark and cold climate conditioning. Other than that, just a bunch of new games. (2017 X with MCU2 and HW3 and 'legacy cameras')

2021.44.25.2 is installing on my June 2017 X with upgraded MCU2 and FSD without camera upgrades yet.
