FSD Beta v11.x

The next big milestone for FSD is 11. It is a significant upgrade and fundamental changes to several parts of the FSD stack including totally new way to train the perception NN.

From AI day and Lex Fridman interview we have a good sense of what might be included.

- Object permanence both temporal and spatial
- Moving from “bag of points” to objects in NN
- Creating a 3D vector representation of the environment all in NN
- Planner optimization using NN / Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS)
- Change from processed images to “photon count” / raw image
- Change from single image perception to surround video
- Merging of city, highway and parking lot stacks a.k.a. Single Stack

Don't bite on the promise above but I do believe this year that when FSD is supervised by a good driver FSD will be safer then just a human.

We are already at that point. That’s not what Elon is saying, he is saying that FSDb alone will be safer than a human.

Downloaded the 11.4.2 version of FSDp today but haven't tried it yet. I probably never will. What's the point? Just to broadcast that life's a bowl of fickle cherries? Nothing worse than snacking on perfection.......leaves a funny taste in your noggin.........

The only good thing with this release is finally stepping into 2023.X……. 5 months later. Let’s see if they at least fixed the Apple Music issues.

I see all the posts. I am using surface with touchscreen. Turning the screen sidewise does not help.

That's too bad. I use TMC almost always on a touchscreen Android, tablet or phone. Hold down to select the Like submenu works very reliably for me.

On the other hand, lately I have multiple freeze-ups and crashes on the TMC website, on multiple devices, all browsers. Usually it happens on message pages that are loading external video links (YouTube, Twitter etc.). I do believe this is TMC specific and there's some web coding bug.

So maybe there's also something going on with the coding for Surface touch-cursor control.

Windows v11 is worse than FSD v11.

Even when Tesla is robotaxing all over the country, green will not be impressed because he won't ever admit he's wrong about Tesla FSD.

I reported this to Tesla after every release since 10/2021. I've had several map updates during that time.

This is why Tesla needs a way for us to report and get errors corrected in a matter of days not wait for years with no certainty of a solution.

maybe already said here, but I really hate that there's now an audible chime when I override speed with the accel pedal on the highway. I think what I will do is disengage every time it does it and send in a report telling them to turn that sh*t off.
