LR RWD Waiting Room

Those of you who are waiting might want to make sure to recheck your order details on the My Tesla account. I just happen to notice that when the guy went in to change my order from AWD to RWD (he said he had to initially order it as such, and then it would take a day or two to change on the website), he must have also changed me from the 18" aero wheels to the 19" sport wheels!

My order is also showing the 19" sport wheels. But the email after the RWD change shows the Aero wheels.

Not sure what's up with Tesla.

I just realized about the home link not a feature thing. The change happened on 5/31. I ordered 5/21, and many of your ordered before 5/31. Will you try to get this instead for free? Or just leave it be and take loss?

Since it was listed as a feature when I ordered the car, I think it's only appropriate that they honor the agreement.

Just heard back from a delivery specialist in Fremont, looks like my car is in route to North Carolina and won't meet the 15th delivery date since they'll need to inspect / detail the vehicle before delivery. I was told by my delivery specialist at my store (Raleigh) that the 19th is more realistic.

In theory yes.. that they should honor the agreement. But i'm ready to take the loss on that, for they did say that there's no Homelink post 5/31, and since i don't have a VIN yet, i'm thinking the car won't have it.. I'm ok with that for i have a garage door opener remote sitting there from the car i just sold. Homelink is nice, but not necessary. i just need my car!!

There is a discussion here: HomeLink Availability
People have reported they ordered before the 5/31 deadline and had HomeLink on delivery. Including cars that were produced in June.

Tesla made a change to my account and now my LR RWD shows 19" sports instead of 18" aeros. What's going?

Of course this also added $1500 to my order that I didn't notice until just now. I guess it's a good thing I don't have my VIN yet. I have the original order agreement AND the confirmation email when I first ordered the car that both show the 18" aero wheels as my choice. I'll have to call tomorrow and have them correct it.

I really don't want the 19" sport wheels, even if they offer them to me for free. I've heard they go through tires at a MUCH higher frequency, and I would prefer the efficiency boost of the aero caps, which I don't mind the look of.

I'm wondering for both of you, did the image of the car on your account reflect the 19" wheels as well?

Good point. I was told by my sales guy that the picture on your profile should reflect what you ordered. If it's Aero wheels, is should be that on your profile. mine surely does and my pricing detail seems accurate, although very hard to follow on how they added up the numbers. Drove me nutts..

Wow this is like the 3rd time I've heard this. Keep tabs on your account everyone. Mine looks good so far.

So I just called and they corrected my order.

Now here's the bad news....the lady on the phone said she is NOT very confident that they will be delivering these cars before the end of June. She said the RWD are hard to come by. I told her I ordered back in May and if they were going to do anything to reimburse the customer if they can't make the June 30th date and she said no....said it's not THEIR tax credit it's the government and they have no reason to cover the difference.

So.....hope she's wrong.
