I switched from White interior to black. Originally, I was going with Stealth Grey, but figured if I was going spend the extra $1500 for the white interior anyway, I'd change the exterior color to black. My total sale price actually went down about $500.

I believe Canadian cars come from Giga Shanghai.
Yes once I asked them to check the vin. Theirs start with “L” (China) ours begins with “5” (Tesla, Fremont)
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but as of today, the Tesla website says June-July delivery, only if you select the white interior. If you select black, it still says May-June. ** My EDD updated this morning to April 23 - May 25th **

I think I know where our white interior went. Go to the Tesla website and select white interior for the plaid model S
seems legit. Model S Plaid should’ve always had these seats imo. Sucks if this is the real root of why model 3 white interior is delayed this far.
model s plaid never had white seats before? i’m confused on how this may be the cause of the delay, unless the seats are similar.

this morning mine changed from 4/13-5/11 to 4/24-5/22
I choose to think that this specificity is a good sign . . . .
If you look at the estimated delivery date, white in on new 3 is June-July but the S Plaid white int says Apr-May. It does seem to suggest some kind of prioritization, but then again the S seats seem to be a different design from the new 3 seats so idk.
Funny how the Tesla app says there is Earlier Pickup Available, but when you look, there isn't an option for Stealth Grey and there are no Long Range vehicles available in the Northern NJ area for 200 miles.
Same - zero Long Range available within 200 miles of the Bay Area.
yes the design are 100% different. i don’t see any correlation to our delays unless the material needed for the white seats are going directly to the S. i’d be curious to see when S users take delivery with white seats
edit. also new 3 is been ready to order with white seats since january. we are in the 2nd qtr now and the new seats for the S were just announced.
i think there is a different issue.
edit. lol another edit as i was thinking. both cars are made wt the same factory, so it’s possible this is the reason for the delay.

There is so much more demand for the 3 than the S.
