Wiki Model S Delivery Update

OK, so I'm happy to have my car now but I'm a little pissed I have a 2021 mid October build when I could have had a 2022 early November two weeks later lol
This happens to many people every year. Kind of like a broken clock is right twice a day! I took delivery in late August and again in the 2nd half of September. No worries; life is too short!

Anyone have advice on finding the best place in your area for PPF and tinting?
I'm in Orlando
I’m in Orlando as well. It’s a drive, but I’ve had Pete wrap and tint multiple Teslas. He’s been around since the beginning with Tesla and knows all the issues and has relationships within the Tesla service centers. He has shops in Tampa and Sarasota and I even had my car delivered to Tampa and his shop is a block away. First Impression Premier - Sarasota Clear Bra and Paint Protection Specialist

thanks - was hoping it was for the S, and was going to say that would take out some of the sting from the wait. I'm still hopeful - if/when my hypothetical beast comes, I would really love for it to be a 2022 (or at this rate, 2023, 2024...) - if it IS a 2022 that makes some issues moot, like do I wait for a 2022 (probably not). i think the 2022 should raise the resale by about 2 or 3 percent, so not huge. Also frankly, avoids the "refresh" moniker - though I imagine any S products for 2022 onwards until the next refresh would fit, so 2021.5 models would just buy 2022 accessories.
Can't wait to start seeing 2022 stuff on thingiverse, amazon, etc.
In selling my 2018 Model 3 (purchased late Nov 2018...), I am noticing that similarly equipped and similar mileage 2019s are trading around $49-52K vs. 2018s around $45-47K. Of course this is an unprecedented time, but right now the ding I got from purchasing 1.5 months before the cutover is going to cost me a couple grand or ~5%.

I think NF ‘22 VIN will be effective the earliest December 1. There is a 60 day notice requirement.

that's how I'm reading it also. I had hoped that maybe the letter was filed earlier and recorded 9/29 but it SEEMS to indicate the letter is DATED 9/29 so yeah, December 1 seems to be about right.
the next question - can they produce prior to December 1, and hold back whether at the SC, etc. or can they not even USE the N or A lettering until after about December 1?

Had the same issue also. This is why i will not be accepting a 2021 on the off chance that i decide to sell it in (not likely but that's what i said about the 3)

Considering Model Y VINs were drastically changed in the cover letter and request (WMI + model year) and Model Ys are getting 2022 VINs, I do not think the 60 day timeframe is applicable here.
