After a grouchy letter to my SA this morning, I got the email a few hours later. VIN 5YJSA1DP6CFS00440. Oct 5-19.

Sig 508, Sig Perf, Sig Red, Panoramic, Carbon Fiber Spoiler, 21" Silver Wheels, Black interior, Carbon Fiber, 85 kWh, paint armor

Grats. Your window is very close, as in you could have it next Friday! Wonder why they waited so long to contact you?

Good question. It would be nice to have adequate lead time to shop a bit for financing offers without having to delay a committment to a delivery date in the immediate future.
I'd be afraid that if I e-mailed and inquired about my delivery date that they would move me at the bottom of to-do list.

Email and call this morning. Not much advanced warning, car finished and could be to me in 5 days or so once payment is received. (Payment due upfront due to Texas dealer protecting blue laws.) VIN 5YJSA1DN9CFS00219. Houston delivery, one more for Texas, Larry Chanin! :)

Sig 964, Sig Non-Perf, Sig Red, All Diamond Scratch Proof Panoramic Roof (upgrade), 19" Wheels, Tan Sig interior, Obeche Wood Gloss, 85 kWh, Parcel Shelf, Paint Armor, no HPWC

Oops, I meant to say "transparent aluminum". :) (Stolen from Brian H)

Speaking of such things.... I have not seen any notifications for opaque painted aluminum roof cars. It makes me wonder if that is a separate batch. I was torn about the pano roof since I live in an area where it would get very little exercise. So, I opted out on the pano roof thinking that it is one less thing to worry about. Now I wonder if it's a lower priority configuration.
Has anyone who has been to the factory seen a few Model Ses that are not topless?

Congrats Stephen. Ask them to mail the title to the delivery specialist so they can hand that to you with the car. You'll need the packet they have for transferring the title. If you're not moving a vanity plate over, they should be able to handle everything for you actually.

I wondered that as well, but I got my email last week (Sig #353). I have a solid roof. Sig Red, not Black. But I agree, the vast majority of SSL and Sig buyers that report on this forum seem to prefer Pano.

Hi Stephen,

Congratulations!!

I don't have a handle on every Florida reservation holder of course, but so far one couple in our Florida club received their Founders Series Model S, and 8 more club member have received their notification of deliveries of their Signatures this month or next. Hopefully I'm not far behind you.

Regards,

Larry

@dsm363: Legally, I'm not 100% sure they can, and Tesla is apparently being very careful about this. Technically my sale is an internet sale from California. The Delivery Specialist cannot "deliver" the car to me. A third-person delivers the car and I sign for it, and then the Delivery Specialist provides the overview. A Tesla employee cannot be the person to give me the car nor (presumably) can they give me the title (as it could have implications about where the car was actually purchased). Perhaps the driver of the truck can? I am the first person to say this is ridiculous and a waste of money (paying two people to deliver the car when one could do, as they do in most other states), but there you go. Tesla is pretty much at the mercy of outdated state rules.

You're right. The driver was the one that had me sign the paperwork. The Tesla delivery specialist was just there to go over everything. We need state action to change these laws but can talk about that over in the regional forums. Congrats again!

Wow. I am impressed, dsm363! You have your Model S and yet here you are, still watching the delivery thread! Are you sitting in your Model S at a charging station?

Regular Sig 302 getting delivered in Indiana on Monday! They're really cranking them out now.

Awesome! Did you get a VIN?

I ask because I'm trying to take a weight sampling of deliveries per week. It depends on knowing the highest confirmed VIN number (divided by the total number of responses, thereby giving us a weight of each reported delivery). They're at 108 delivered this week using that methodology.

I don't know the exact VIN but think it was in the 260s somewhere.
