By that rationale, can I assume that my multi-pattern black seats will hopefully speed things up (vs other/premium seats)?

I dont know if its the NextGenTan seats. I also have TAN seats and still waiting on production.

It is the NextGen Grey seats that are on back order.
My car must have been built right before this issue surfaced. Ordered 7/7, production start 7/28, production end 8/6.It is the NextGen Grey seats that are on back order.
For what it's worth, I'm skeptical MyTesla is accurately reflecting car production status. I never saw an 'in production queue' message. It remained in 'Order confirmed between 7/3 and 8/3. Then it suddenly showed 'in production', and 2 days later it showed 'in transit', where it remains still. I did not see any 'your car is being prepared for delivery' etc. I have no idea where it needs to transit to either, since I am picking it up from Fremont. I have not received any communication from the DS as to readiness, even though the page says delivery between 8/7 (yesterday) and 8/14 .
So to all of you expecting MyTesla to accurately reflect what's up with your car, I'm not sure you should be fretting about it all that much. Your car may already be in production and it just doesn't show up.

How long does it take to make a car, once it starts down the line? 2 days seems like plenty.
I got my VIN on 7/3 when it confirmed. It said nothing at all for one month other than 'order confirmed'. Suddenly on 8/3 it shows as in production and on 8/5 it shows as in transit, and the delivery window updates to 8/7-8/14 , and no communication from DS. I didn't get any of the other intermediate status updates others report. It could be they changed the process, and don't change your status until there is a VIN plate attached (or something?).
Not for lack of trying. I contacted her. She's not responded.I've been in constant contact with my DS - either email or phone. I'd be bugging your DS asap.
Based on the spreadsheet, 3 - 5 days seems to be the average production time.
So the myTesla page has been showing Estimated Delivery as August 5th - August 12th since the end of July. I've had approximately 0 contact from the Delivery Specialist since then. Is that normal?

My car went from 'in production' to 'in transit' in less than 2 days. I hope it doesn't show up with the frunk, a door or two and half the battery pack missing![]()
That may be true, but another point I'm making is that they're not following a predictable series of status change steps on MyTesla. I had no production queue message and no prep message, and my DS is silent 2 days into my delivery window. The minimum time for production seems to be about 2 days, was analyzing what the odds are for me picking up this Friday with not being in production yet last week. If they absolutely push the mins... could be produced and then ready for pickup in 3 days total, but seems very very unlikely.
Just entered the info, sorry about thatI don't see your info on the Google Sheets. What's your confirmation/VIN date? Where are you picking up from?

At this point I've decided that MyTesla is really just a random status emitter that prints random stuff at very roughly sequentially correct times, but that it's not specific enough to be trusted.
