They weren't identical. I just updated my signature with the new VIN. My original reservation number was #215.

I think they only did I because I haven't been the most patient person. I have hounded for the past two weeks for a firm date. I did write a nice "thank you" e-mail response for their effort.... now if they would only give me a date.

Damn fine looking car though!

When you received your initial delivery date estimates was that communicated to you via an email, or was it communicated to you verbally after making a call to Tesla?

Thanks.

Larry

Initally, I was called by my specialist and given the window of Oct. 12 - 26. I emailed him yesterday to simply get an update and to inquire about my VIN. He promptly responded with the bad news of a week delay in my window, but he did give me my VIN.

Thanks Eric,

Did you get your delivery questionaire via email following that initial call from your specialist?

The passionate people posting on TMC and the official forums are generally people that put in their reservations early. So, we'll see a reduction in the number of reported deliveries, even though the actual numbers are going up. That should be interesting for us forum-dwellers, as that will put us in more of a "black boxed" position of having less and less information to go on. But keep the faith and everyone will be getting their cars sooner than later.

I don't think it'll be as bad as you think. I'm P9,372 and have passionately followed these forums. Wish there was a way to get the word out more. I do like the fact that Tesla Blog Posts have frequently referenced this forum. Or maybe I'm dreaming that...

I posted a while ago that it would be useful to not only have delivery windows and dates in the spreadsheet, but also those here who haven't gotten date. It's useful to see the gaps and try to figure out why there are gaps. Since I'm sitting on a long flight with WiFi, I went to the Finalize thread and made my own spreadsheet that has all of the stuff on the existing one, as well as those who aren't on it but have posted that they had finalized on that thread. Also, if I saw other postings from people whose numbers were on there I added them too, even if they hadn't finalized yet. I'm almost halfway through so far (post #669), but take a look at what I've got. My hope is that this stuff will get added to the existing spreadsheet, because I think it's really useful.

Spreadsheet with Gaps

Hi Again,

I've been endeavoring to keep this spreadsheet up to date, and recently went through to see how many of the gaps may be due to people who just don't post on the message boards anymore. Keeping that in mind, there are very few signatures who have not gotten a delivery window--specifically:

236, 698, 957, 1013, 1136, and 1278.

I have not looked at these people's configurations yet to see if there's anything in common.

This is out of 197 Sigs and SSLs who have checked in in total, and 6 who haven't posted in months (M.I.A. in the spreadsheet). The percentage of those not contacted with a delivery window who are on this forum (net of M.I.A.s) is a remarkable 3.1413%. It's mostly remarkable in that it's essentially pi (π).

Assuming 1000 US Sigs, we can expect that approximately 31 have not been given windows yet.

Being able to figure out stuff like this is the reason I wanted to include people without windows yet in the main spreadsheet. I guess as long as this isn't done, I'll keep trying to maintain mine. I may lose interest after my car is delivered, though!

Do you know if he has a window?

I think it is more a matter of people not posting rather than Tesla not assigning delivery windows. I still reiterate my prediction that all sig’s will be built by 10/31.

No, I only counted the people who *have* been posting (as I said in my post).

Vin # 184 is being delivered tomorrow morning at 11:00am!! Sadly, without a cubby, which is important because of my CCI project, but at least I'll have the car in my garage. I've cleared my calendar for the entire day and plan on driving it until the battery says no more.

What color is your car? I went by the Dania store yesterday and there were at least 4 cars I saw in there getting prepped for delivery -- 3 whites and a silver. They all looked great, so whichever one is yours you're going to be extremely happy!
