Wiki Model S Delivery Update

How much did that cost? My electrician quoted me $10,500 for an upgrade from 200 A to 300 A with a new panel, etc.

$800 to the utility company to pull the larger conductor (underground conduit) and connect to meter.
$4,000 to electrician for panel and all installation.
$550 for wall connector.

At one point I had two Tesla recommended electricians and two utility company employees working on it at the same time. Buy once, cry once I guess.

I just got email from DS this morning saying that "your vehicle has officially begun the production process and we are currently on track for a late-December delivery". Although My Tesla page hasn't been updated. It still says "in production queue".

ordered: 11/20
confirmed: 11/21
Fremont pickup

Does model year impact resale? I have one being delivered in 2 weeks but I'm wondering if I should have waited until 2017

I suppose it depends how savvy the buyer is. Anyone with any knowledge of Tesla knows that they update the car almost constantly, and major upgrades (like AP 2.0 HW) can come at any time of year, so content of the car is much more important, ultimately, than year built. There really are no "model years" for Tesla.

Checking mytesla once an hour for status updates, I just want it to be here for Christmas!

Order submitted: 11/22
Order confirmed: 11/28
Current status: in production queue

Its a long shot but one can pray, the recent push and my OC local should help!

Confirmed 11/28/16.
Late December-January delivery estimate
VIN 11/29/16
Production started 12/07/16.
Houston, TX

I spoke to a sales advisor in Fremont few times during the 3 days leading to my order confirmation. He said Tesla is confident about delivering my car and many others in the US who were confirming late November by the end of the year.

When I was assigned a delivery specialist, she confirmed that as well.

Ordered: 11/19/2016
Confirmed: 11/20/2016
In Production (dashboard only - later confirmed by DS): 12/4/2016
Defined Estimated Delivery (dashboard only - Dec 26-Jan 9): 12/7/2016
Tesla has been built and in Transit (dashboard only - same day (today) confirmed by DS): 12/8/2016

From my DS today: I can confirm your Model S is complete and on its first leg of the journey here. Very exciting! It will travel by rail from the Bay Area to Chicago, where it will be transferred to one of the largest holding yards in North America while it waits to be picked up by truck. This transition along with the border crossing represent to two largest variabilities in transport time.

Maybe that's good news for folks awaiting delivery in the midwest, if their vehicles are hitching a ride on the same train!

Druken - Lucky you... Glad to see there is some movement for "locals". My order confirmed about a week before you on Nov 13 but I haven't seen any progress. I will also being picking up at factory.
