Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Actually, the difference between P1 and P4000 is 10 long weeks, assuming they are producing 400 per week.

Nope, that's not correct. They are certainly skipping all 60 and 40kWH versions, and likely skipping versions which have some missing components - perhaps carbon fibre, wheel types... we aren't sure.
Also, some number of reservations are cancelled by the purchasers. So there are not 4000 full cars (10 weeks) worth of cars being scheduled.

Completely agree, but ... where's the fun in that? Isn't TMC how we "pace the floor" while waiting for our delivery? We're all just doing the equivalent of Monday-morning quarterbacking -- at least, I am.
Well, since the game is still going for many of us, I'd say it's more like sitting on your couch w/ your buddies and screaming at the TV

OK, doing some clean-up today:

Posts on delivery dates (incl floodgates, holy crap etc.) went here: Model-S-Delivery-Dates-and-Sequencing

Some of these moves take a while to update, please be patient. Also, I know not all the moves are perfect but there's too many posts for me to start splitting them when they cover more than one subject. Thanks.

Please try to keep this thread for actual delivery confirmations.

Question - Why move the posts on delivery notification to another thread but timdoor's spreadsheet includes delivery notification data (top of this thread)? Is that consistent?

Please read the first two posts on this thread. Members have asked many times to keep this thread for deliveries only. If you want to discuss further please PM me and we won't clutter this thread.

Not sure I understand this sentence..."I saw about 100 finished/ almost finished cars in the factory parts finished(panels and everything) for about 1000 at least"
You saw 100 finished or almost finished, but missing the meaning behind the reference to 1000.
Also, are you saying you saw a body in aluminum that was P1900?
Any other numbers at that stage?

Hello all - quick help requested - P993 here (Grey Metallic, non-perf, 85KWh, Glass Pano, 19", Tech, Active Air). Received an email stating

Congratulations! It's now time to start planning the delivery of your Model S. Tesla Personal Delivery makes the process easy and fun, while leaving you with an in-depth understanding of your car

There is a button in the email that says "Enter Your Delivery Details" When I click on the button, I get to the Tesla site with my garage but not place to enter any details (and no place else to click than I can tell). Is my adrenaline blinding me? Can someone who has gone through this help?

Below is the email i got:

I heard about this happening to other people. A quick email to the DS or one of the generic email addresses fixes it.

Delivery Specialist email link issue

I heard about this happening to other people. A quick email to the DS or one of the generic email addresses fixes it.

As suggested, a quick email to the delivery specialist got my problem resolved. They had misconfigured something. The impressive part is that it was resolved in about 2 hours - pretty impressive considering it is Sunday night!!

Now I have my delivery window - December 8 - December 22. No VIN yet.

Merry Christmas to me!!!!

I am pretty sure the are 100 cars (almost) ready and additionally he saw parts and pieces for another 1000 cars.
yep, looked like stacks of 400-500 of each door piece (for example, that is what they were doing at the time) before the burr sanding station and then an equal to slightly more, couldn't count these ones - just so many I didn't have a chance. I think they are setting up the Model X area past all of the HUGE parts box staging area. Just awesome to see after being there last year.

So I made it back to Eureka starting from Los Altos with less than a full charge, charged at the solar center in Hopland and ate dinner at The Benbow. Awesome car but you all know. Cruise control is the only way to drive 'safely' ssooo tempting just to tappy tappy! but I was careful &played it safe . Lots of odd stares and smiles but met a few guys kayaking in the flood stage waters:scared: and the pickup truck they were driving had a Tesla next car won't have one of these bumper stickers on it. They were stoked to see an S
