LOL. So out of my 2 months of waiting my DS has not called me once. I have to initiate every phone call to find out what's going on with my car. She swore that the last time I called her she would keep me updated because it's been such a shitty experience. Car finally gets out of production and no call. Texted her yesterday. No response... to be honest I don't know what an OA is because I get 0 customer service from anyone at the Costa Mesa office.

Safe to say, I feel like I made the wrong decision in purchasing a luxury car from a company that can't answer a phone, return an email, return a text/call, call for any update. I must have the worst DS and worst luck because everyone else is saying this isn't common.

You have definitely had terrible luck with your DS and the Costa Mesa location in general. I'd hold off on generalizing that to the company as a whole or deciding you shouldn't have made the purchase based on this experience. If you end up hating the car itself then that's another story.

I would escalate your experience. It sounds like either there are some individuals doing a sub-standard job at that location or are too busy to give customers the attention they deserve and need more bodies working at the location. Your experience doesn't seem to be the norm and I'm sure people higher up the food chain want to know about things like this.

I have to agree with you. Ever since order placed I have gotten pretty no info and smoke and mirrors. The OA doesn't even respond. My DS does but never with useful info. And the my tesla page changes dates with no one telling me. My lease is coming up and unknown interest rate if they don't get me car by oct 1. And when I asked to just delay build to next quarter pretty much get a no your car is already being built, which is a lie since it hasn't started production yet.

Needless to say I know I will love car but regret dealing with tesla and the process is starting to make me not want the car whichbjust sucks

Whenever I call the Costa Mesa office to get a manager, I get sent to my DS and there is no way she's a manager.
I called today to speak with a manager about where my car is and instead they said, "no need for a manager, I can take care of everything".
After finding out that I contacted the store my DS called me and asked why I would do such a thing and that I should just call her cellphone. I informed her that I left her a text like she asked me to and she never responded. She then told me, "Call me instead next time, I know I said text was the best way, but just call me".... WTF is going on over there.
After asking where my car is, she said she got an update this morning(how convenient) that my car was on a trailer and waiting for others for it to come down. I told her how the tesla website states that it'll be here 9/7-9/14 and I'm wondering when I can pick it up. She said, "it may come later than that just because we don't know when the truck will be full". I had explained to her 2 weeks ago that I'm willing to pick it up from factory because I'm worried the truck won't get filled and she said, "You won't be able to do that because it's going to go straight on a trailer with other cars and come straight here. Logistics has it set up to where it'll be the fastest possible and every car is built in a bunch so that we can send it out without wait". Chalk up another lie.
At this point, I'm not even excited for the car because it's been such a shitty experience. The fact that I've never gotten 1 call, 1 email, 1 text for an update about my vehicle in 2 months is extremely disheartening. I always have to contact her until I finally call the store and they pass me to her instead of a manager.
I'm an extremely patient and can accept terrible service when it's a mistake, but this is just flat out lying and not doing your job. If I don't vent on here, I'm gonna lose my *sugar* on the DS.
Sorry for the rant.

Escalate it up through my tesla account.

I'm having a similar experience. My first DS would not return calls or emails. Sometimes 2 weeks at a time! Once I was lucky enough that someone saw him "in office" and basically put the call straight to him and avoided the voicemail. This guy was a Texas based DS. A friend of mine had same experience with SAME DS and asked for a new one. I did the same. Now my DS is based in Arizona, and sadly the experience has been the same. More than a week went by with no response to my last VM and email. I used "URGENT" in the subject in hopes to gain attention. My pre-approval for financing is coming to an end and its like pulling TEETH to get someone to respond. Again, someone saw him in office (the new DS) and put the call through direct to avoid the voicemail. His response, "Oh, I was just emailing you!" - right... At least I got the update on the vehicle which has been "in production" for more than a week. He told me the "My Tesla" page doesn't update as it should and is basically not a priority for Tesla. Good news is the car has finished production and allegedly on rail to Houston. That has me worried, for obvious reasons. But really... If i test drove a Hyundai last week, I would have a sales person calling me weekly until I told him to go away. Im astonished that the service before delivery is so poor. I know (Hope) it will all be a distant memory in (?2 weeks) when the car is here, but I'm just ASTOUNDED at how poor the pre-delivery communication has been. I'm embarrassed as a consumer to share it with my friends because they have heard me talk this company and car up for YEARS now. DISAPPOINTED!

Can anyone please let me know what is the contact info of Atlanta DS - Franklin Tesfaye. I gave him a mail he doesn't reply. I asked for his number from one of the store person they are not giving. How to catch this guy and call him to get more information on my order.

Atlanta sales emp. are very doing very bad job on my order.

I just called my DS and apparently my car finished production on September 4th (two days ago), even though my "My Tesla" page still shows it as "in production," so I guess the website isn't exactly up-to-date. Apparently Tesla has been experimenting with different delivery methods with trains, train then truck or even just trucks all the way across the country, so I'm hoping to get the latter option for the earliest delivery date. My tentative delivery date is September 25th but hopefully they'll be able to bump that up if I get delivery sooner. Fingers crossed. The garage reno started today and will be done in 3 days so I'll be ready for my new baby to arrive...

Oh, and on another positive note, I got a call from Fremont a couple of days ago and they said they would be upgrading me to Smart Air Suspension at no charge (since I ordered before it was included in all orders). Woohoo!

How is that even possible?? They will start building it on sept 15th and get it to you across the country in two weeks??

For EOQ push they go to truck transport. They can get them cross country in less than 7 days.
In the early days that is all hey used.
Now it is cheaper to go by train but that can take weeks.
Your Tesla grin will happen soon.

75d. Ordered 8/10, confirmed 8/13

Just heard back from my DS. According to the tesla "data" my car won't be on the ground till second week of October. But he thinks based on my ordering date he is still hopeful for end of september but doesn't want to set expectations. This from the team that when I ordered in august guaranteed September delivery. We shall see.

But he doesn't know what the October rate will be and I don't know what I will do if it stays as an October delivery. trying to stay optimistic but looking bleak.

Tesla has claimed that they want to hear about problems people are having with customer service:

Same thing happened to me. Must have been a push to get sales in for EOQ. Just hope that if delivery spills over into October that somehow someway we can get the 0.99% rate that they were dangling in front of us.

75D order confirmed 8/18. DS said today "We’re very positive to have it ready for delivery by end of Sep.". That all sounds good. The specs still list APH2, though...

In MyTesla, the document package contains a "Model S User Manual" dated 10/20/2016. It sounds (and reads) somewhat outdated with respect to what I would expect from the new AP. Anybody's seen a newer version of the manual?

I have the same Owner's Manual link. I don't think they've updated it in a while.

The whole APH2 / APH3 thing doesn't make a lot of sense. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to which cars are getting 2 vs 3 (and for a lot of people it changes once the car is in production).

Good luck with that. He was assigned as my delivery specialist and I have hardly heard from him. I was able to set up my delivery date with him a couple of weeks ago and he said he would get all the paperwork together and email me the final details (MVPA). Haven't heard a word since and tried emailing him and got automated response that he's out of office until 9/10. Well my delivery is tomorrow 9/7 at 10am! Here we are 12 hours before delivery and I still don't have MVPA. I've also had 3 different delivery specialists since I ordered car two months ago. Communication has been absolutely terrible. When I call the local Tesla service center no one ever answers the phone. It hasn't been a very good experience so far. Hopefully I get my car in the morning. Wish me luck!

Keep us updated! I am curious about the experience part....reading a lot of negative reviews

Wish you with all good luck to get everything done tomorrow itself.

I have the same problem with this guy, no response always get an automated mail. No phone calls are getting answered and no emails are replied. I really don't know what to do with this kind order service. My car is now in production, I have no idea if that is accurate. This really worries me a lot.

This also prompted me to look for another vehicle like Chevy Bolt even though I already made $2500 order payment. When I went to Chevy dealership there is night and day between between Chevy and Tesla on customer service (granted their product is not to the level of tesla standard). Gave good response for all the request I made that's how the service needs to be. I am having a double thought now because before getting the vehicle I have this kind of response what will happen tomorrow if I have any issue.
