I would actually like to see some more Plaids delivered with CF interior trim...pictures please? That way, we can send to our Tesla contacts who say "CF Trim deliveries are starting in August." Ahem, I don't think so. That's bullsugar.
Every build is in its own queue for its region, not surprising
I switched to 21” wheels yesterday and got a VIN this morning
tell that to anyone who ordered in 2020
able to change online or have to contact an SA, at this point ill change can't really be put back further in line. but am not aware of where to change on my order just says if you like to change might impact order blah blah blah
i do feel bad for those who ordered in 2020. I ordered a LR in February and realized it wasn’t coming anytime soon so then I ordered a Plaid as well in May. Picking it up Sunday. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have gotten the LR for a while.
***Tip regarding finance expirations w/ Alliant
I originally submitted my loan app in February since I was an uneducated dummy of the process at the time, so of course, it expired 60 days later in April
Got my VIN today and as you can imagine, I was guns'a'blazin' with getting insurance/loan/etc in order
My original loan officer dude from Alliant had an autoreply so I called the 800#... ended up resubmitting an app since the last one expired (but I was talking to a more of a messenger who would submit it for me)
10 minutes later, a guy from Alliant calls to get my new loan started
****IT WAS NOT BECAUSE I HAD JUST SUBMITTED A NEW APP WITH ALLIANT - ALLIANT WILL RECEIVE YOUR NEW VIN EMAIL JUST LIKE YOU DO
****LUCKILY HE CALLED WITHIN A 10 MINUTE WINDOW OF SUBMITTING A NEW ONE BC HE WAS ABLE TO VOID/DISREGARD WHAT I HAD DONE W/ A DIFF DEPARTMENT
TLDR; for alliant loans that expired
if you are anything like me - sit still you impatient idiot - someone from Alliant will call you if your loan expired previously and just pick up where you left off. No need to call the 800# and start a new one

I saw blue and a few other dark colors, but it could be there. Tons of cars everywhere.
Anyone in Florids take delivery yet? Our SC in Ft Myers saying “should have temporary tags tomorrow or Saturday and hoping they work”
The SA's are doing everything they can to make deliveries happen for the quarter. I was scheduled to come in and pick up my LR Black/Cream 21" FSD Monday, Mt. Kisco, NY. Just received a call saying truck will not arrive until Tuesday and asked if there was anytime I could come in on Wednesday to take delivery. Have any LR's been delivered? all I have read about are Plaid's.

Are you using the Decatur location? Thats where I'm picking up.Call your selected delivery center and calling until you get a live person. Then ask them to send you a txt.
I didn’t have to ask for a SA (now called Delivery Speciatist) as this is my 5th Tesla and have a multitude of #’s in my phone since 2015

Alright, I’ve been blessed with an update. This may come as a shock to some of you and to the well seasoned Tesla owners, it will not be surprising.
Disclaimer: This is in regards to Long Range orders, I am not sure if this applies to Plaid orders.
After seeing people get assigned VINs for Long Range, I figured that they started producing (obviously, otherwise no VIN) the Long Ranges and I am not too far behind the line…
I called my inside man who answered in one word sentences after telling me he cannot speak at length to what’s going on. Here is the conversation.
Me: What’s the Queue like?
JR: No queue.
Me: How are they prioritising early orders/owners.
JR: Nope.
I caught on to what he was doing. Smart me.
Me: So it’s completely random?
JR: Nope
Me: So there’s an order…
JR: Nope
Me: It’s not random and there’s no order… are early reservation holders being prioritised?
JR: Nope
Me: I see most orders have the new 21” Wheels. Is that something to do?
JR: Nope
Me (frustrated): You’re saying that if I place a LR order right now, with regular wheels I might get assigned this week?
JR: Possibly. But unlikely. There is no system to how these LR VINs are being assigned.
Me (defeated): Am I getting a car in the next month.
JR: Maybe. But only maybe.
Me: Sounds like a cluster [insert expletive here]
JR: There is no system in place. Cars are being assigned not by region, or config. The only thing that’s true for is the Plaid. All of those are being matched as soon as they come off the line. I don’t expect any major changes after EOQ. Things will most likely slow down so a proper system can be implemented. For now it’s as you said.
Me: [insert expletive here]
JR: Sorry dude. If you want a car, the Plaid would be a guaranteed car within the next 30 days.
