When I participated in the Tesla Video Meeting for North East Buyers on September 7, I asked the question about All Season tires. I was told at the time (in front of about 90 other people in the Tesla Video Forum) that my Plaid would come with All Season Tires. At delivery I had Tesla make a note that the car had the wrong tires on it. I was told that they would change the tires (probably sometime in October).I was interested in this so I checked out a few manufacturers sites. As far as I could tell, many performance oriented cars are available only with summer tires from the factory regardless of local climate and replacing them with something else is on the customer. Where does this expectation that Tesla should be different come from?
Now attempting to schedule this and I'm getting pushback from the Service group about the All Season Tires. They are currently checking with Sales and in the mean time, I have no idea what will happen.
I can't imagine driving this car with performance tires this winter. And I'm not going to stop driving it as I purchased this as a daily driver.
I have an appointment to solve other issues on October 13th, and was hoping that they would change the tires at that time.
