Perhaps, but your MS Plaid was one of the 1st ones produced and delivered...at the MS Plaid Delivery Day event; no way in heck would there be one single flaw in any of those cars delivered that day (especially with some media & Elon & Franz there talking with folks)! Now, at EOQ and moving forward, it's "Tesla as usual" happening.I wonder if Tesla switched suppliers to get the material for the white interior orders and that's why the winkles. There has been some pretty bad black interiors with wrinkles. Less so cream.I wonder if Tesla switched suppliers to get the material for the white interior orders and that's why the winkles. FWIW, mine is wrinkle free.
Yeah! Who wants a hair dryer and inverter? But without a proper "Tire Warmup" mode (read: burnout), it's going to be impossible to heat those slicks up enough to get any decent traction out of them.
Elon, we need a "Tire Warmup" mode!
Meh……if you’re driving, methinks you’ll see more of the top of her head?My guess is that you'll spend more time staring at your GF's toes than the wrinkles on seats...
Well...no model year 2022 for me...because...after almost 8 months of waiting...IT just happened folks! VIN assigned to my RN...Funny because now I'm rooting for an Oct 1st or 2nd production for my white on white/cf MS Plaid and delivery mid October...IF, and only IF Tesla changes the model year to 2022 for October & later productions now (N instead of M the VIN). But, this won't be verified until we see VINs coming 10/1/21 & later. So we'll see...still no VIN for me here in South Florida; so much for Tesla's "priority production" b.s I got months ago....terrible how they feed you that garbage as a way to string you along. Geez.
Ok,
I broke down and went with the Chrome delete. They do it in plastidip which they say they can easily remove if I ever want to. So, apparently once I go black I can go back.
Near completion. Full Wrap PPF & Ceramic Coating Applied. They said it will look better tomorrow. (after it’s cured wiped down …)Great communication from Alset.
More PPF install photos just texted to me with this comment:
“Passenger side doors are done! It's soooo gloss”

My buddy has my P90DL and I really really mis those seats. I'm reminded every time he drives. While on the topic of seat comparisons, the relatively shortlived premium “Next Gen” seats in 2014 P95Ds (which I think were made by Recaro) had very firm and tight side bolsters and also had pretty high bolsters in the back seat also, are definitely a tighter fit that the new Plaid (and I guess LR) seats.
I can’t say I favor one over the other at the moment, the new seats are definitely very comfortable, but they do have much less side bolstering in the Plaid. Need a long road trip to fully assess but I suspect they will be at least as good, and maybe better.
Yeah, hence the "FWIW" -- I get that those first cars were unicorns to some degree.Perhaps, but your MS Plaid was one of the 1st ones produced and delivered...at the MS Plaid Delivery Day event; no way in heck would there be one single flaw in any of those cars delivered that day (especially with some media & Elon & Franz there talking with folks)! Can someone advise me here on placing my order on hold. I contacted my local store which was not open when I placed my order in March requesting a hold.
Got two responses from two different people asking why.
Have been told I don't have a valid reason to request a hold....
I said I'm concerned of current build quality and lack of upgraded headlights.
Im on hold for original order store.
email response:
"This is *******. ** is our delivery specialist and was inquiring as to the time frame of your delivery and delaying that.
It looks like you have been on the forms my friend, I will give you a fair warning about them and they tend to have a lot of miss information and also spread fear, uncertainty and doubt.
As it turns out “build quality coming out on the refresh and the poor safety ratings on current headlights” is not a valid reason to delay your order.
I will suggest you wait until you are assigned a VIN and actually see your very own Model S and decide for yourself before coming to any conclusions about Model S.
Please let me know if you have any more questions."
This is amazing i am so happy for you. Congratulations one more time. Lets go!Well...no model year 2022 for me...because...after almost 8 months of waiting...IT just happened folks! VIN assigned to my RN...
VIN 5YJSA1E68MFxxxx (RN11446xxx - ordered 2/5/21)! Delivery says 10/5 - 10/14 and wants payment...um no, I'm bringing a Cashier's Check...so I called that (888) 518-3752 number for Tesla and spoke with a nice gentleman there who said the vehicle is still in Fremont, CA getting ready to leave and get on the train to the East Coast and then to South Florida...so likely delivery the week of 10/11/21.
I just emailed our local SC Mgr & FL RM, so I can schedule delivery/pickup! I'm excited yes...annoyed IF they make 10/1/21+ builds model year 2022 but whatever, I guess it doesn't matter, and now I'm finally getting my car after 8 months!
Yeah, hence the "FWIW" -- I get that those first cars were unicorns to some degree.
You’ve just blown my entire theory. Unless…you go blank and EDD comes early!I’m a W/W, CF, 21” Plus convert. 114125XX. My estimate is Nov/Dec in FL still.
You were exactly right. It was a front right wheel sensor. Fixed in 30 minutes. What a relief. Guess it wasn't routed properly at the factory and something happened to it when doing a 90 degree turn out of my driveway.@dewski said the SC thinks it's the right front wheel speed sensor.
And in a true /facepalm moment, I replied with a post that explained what a wheel speed sensor does, but didn't tell him it was an extremely easy fix!
If that's all it is (and the codes his car threw do make sense for that being the issue), it's a 30 minute fix, tops. Assuming they have the part, of course.
11.5 KWI'm still waiting for new Model S delivery (Europe), but I have some question to you guys who have cars right now:
- What is power of onboard charger? It's 11kW like in Model 3, or it's 17kW like on old Model S?
- What capacity have Tesla USB Stick for Sentry Mode?
